Beautiful morning walk with Ari. We stopped at a park bench I've walked by many times never noticed the writing on it. Today we took our traditional walk picture on this bench, and I read what was on it and it was an inspirational quote from Dr. Seuss.This struck a chord with me and I'm certain it will with many others. "You're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way! Oh, the places you'll go!" On the other side of this quote there was a figure of a male and the name, Brock Charles Severson, 27 years young. I had to investigate the meaning behind this bench. I knew it had to be a dedication of some sort. His family put this bench up after their son was killed tragically when he was hit by a drunk driver when he was riding his motorcycle at age 27 not that long ago. The inscription honors his vibrant life and serves as a lasting memorial for the community. The bench at Twin Silo Park allows friends, family and the community to remember him in a cheerful, family- friendly space. Brock's family actively raise awareness for DUI victims, successfully campaigning for new, first of-its-kind highway memorial sign that states "Killed by a drunk Driver" to better reflect the tragedy. I'm so glad we stopped at this bench this morning and I paid attention this morning!!

Introducing new clients Ryder and Cami!! These 2 sweet pooches love to get out and walk, play with each other, chill at home and of course eat some yummy treats. Cami was a bit uncertain about me since she's scared of strangers. But as you can see we overcame that situation on our first walk together. They live at home with their kitty sister, Roxie. All 3 are rescues living in their wonderful forever home. I'm so happy to have them as new members of the RMPS Tribe!!

Here's Mochi and Billie's first experience with frozen peanut butter KONGs!! These 2 girls didn't come up for air for at least 30 minutes!! If you want to give your doggies a great enrichment activity that will occupy some time, this is a great activity. Peanut butter is an excellent treat for dogs. Alway check the ingredients and make certain it doesn't contain xylitol. You can fill the Kongs with other like yogurt, pumpkin puree, or other thicker pureed items they like. Freezing is the best way to go since this is what gives you the longevity. Kongs come is several sizes and toughness for your dogs' sizes and chewing strengths. Mochi and Billie are extremely strong cheers so they must have the black Kong style which is the Extreme for the power chewer. After these 2 got done with their Kongs they went into a peanut butter coma a took a nice nap!! So nice to have a puppy nap!!

I hadn't seen these 2 girls since last summer, but it was just like old times when I opened the door! Frankie and Myla remember who I was immediately and welcomed me right into their home. We played in the backyard, went on walks, enjoyed yummy treats and had great evening snuggle sessions. What more could they ask for when their family is away and your Pet Caregiver who they happen to really enjoy spending time with is in charge!?! Personally, I think their smiles on their faces say it all!!

Here's Moose and his "Food Happy Dance"!! This is such a fun sight to see each time I feed him considering Moose's past. Moose was one of the lucky ones to make it to a great home along with his buddy Pretzel from Envigo through the Beagle Freedom Project which oversaw the placement and rehabilitation of over 4,000 laboratory beagles. Moose and Pretzel have an amazing family who rescued them and have offered them a wonderful life which they have adjusted to quite nicely.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day! Sending my warmest wishes to all from me and the Rocky Mountain Pet Services & More, LLC. Tribe to you! Always remembering those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice may it be human or canine soldier. Thankful for all those who served and fought for our freedom and those who continue to serve and proudly honor our country!! I thank you one and all!! I saw a statement today in the Veterans Plaza of Northern Colorado at Spring Canyon park that read, "Red for courage, white for purity, blue for justice." This statement was about our flag. These specific meanings were assigned to each color of our flag and couldn't be more appropriate. Charles Thompson officially assigned these meanings but not until 1788. Betsy Ross created our first flag in 1776 with 13 star but it wasn't introduced by congress until June 14, 1777. This year marks our 250th anniversary on July 4th of the United States. Get ready for some big celebrations!!

Enrichment time is a lot of fun and can be very entertaining with my Rocky Mountain Pet Services & More, LLC. Tribe!! Giving kibble in an enrichment activity is a great way to make it seem like you're giving treats when in fact it's just their regular kibble. This will work with many dog and cats. Enrichment activities not only challenge a pet's brain but makes their tummy happy. This is a win win win win!! You may wonder why there are 2 extra wins. The 3rd win is for us the humans to see our pets happy with a great activity. The 4th win is seeing them resting after the activity. These things really do challenge them and make them tired and want to rest. See Pickle and Josey's resting pictures in the comments. Pickle and Josey are very good as you can see in this video and very smart. But these 2 pooches are sometimes too smart for their own good. When they put their minds together, they tend to come up with some crazy plans!! Pets are more like kids than many realize. I see their minds working all the time. It's hard to be steps ahead of them at all times but I sure try!! They teach me new things each day and I thank them for the new lessons.

Boz who loves life more than life itself, makes the absolute most of a rainy day and can put a smile on any face!! There probably wasn't one other person out walking in the entire town but us. If you heard Boz you knew he was having the time of his life. At one point I did find a pinecone for him to keep in his mouth but he spit it out because he wanted a treat for his required treat toss catching I started with him which he now demands I do. I trained him on something and now he's trained me on how frequently he wants me to give him treats. Who's in charge?!? Hmmm!!!

With graduation season upon us, all of us at Rocky Mountain Pet Services & More, LLC. want to send out a huge Congratulations to all the 2026 graduates!! YOU DID IT!! Be proud of all your hard work, late nights and accomplishments. Be excited for what the future holds for you in your next chapter. As the song goes, "These are the days"!! Make them count!! There are many famous gradation speeches with many great stories from many successful accomplished influential people in the world. It's just little me, small business owner, who started her career in human resources in 1991 with a strong background in management, sales, and marketing. I will leave you with this, don't ever think a task is beneath you. Always lead by example. And by all means never say NEVER! Your career may take an unexpected turn you never saw coming. Take the leap of faith. Believe in yourself. If you do it, they will come!!
