The Four Winds

Located just north of CSU, we offer horseback riding lessons, training, boarding and host horseshows.

Four Winds has been family owned and operated for almost 50 years. Our equestrian center offers horse boarding, riding lessons, horse training and sales, and equine events. As a family business, collaboration is important in all that we do. The Four Winds training program has a traditional philosophy, focusing on flatwork while still staying true to the American Forward Riding! We accept anywhere

from walk-trotters (5 and up) to Grand Prix riders and offer school and lease horses. Our barn competes locally on the CHJA Circuit, as well as at several USHJA shows a year, with several opportunities to show on sight. We host four CHJA Shows per year, and a schooling show once a month during the summer season.

Our next horseshow is a USEF rated Regional competition! September 26 and 27th is your opportunity to qualify early and affordably for 2027 Junior Hunter Finals, National Medals, and more!

There will also be CHJA medals to qualify for our local Medal Finals this year.

Lindsay Burer is a nutritionist with advanced education in nutrition sciences, and she’s giving a talk on the essentials of equine feed, and how to properly read your feed label, so you can make educated choices for yourself about what to put in the grain pan.

Thank you to everyone who attended our show this weekend! The weather held out, ribbons earned, accomplishments achieved. Thanks also to the vendors and sponsors that help make our shows special. Our next show is a USEF Regional event on September 26th and 27th. This is a great opportunity to get early qualifying points for National Medals and Junior Hunter Finals, OR some last minute points to qualify for CHJA’s medal finals. Next show will also feature TWO sponsored classes, and if we’re lucky, fall foliage.

Schedules are updated for this weekend! We'll run one arena on Saturday with jumpers, followed by Children's Ponies. Outreach divisions will go on Sunday afternoon, after hunters in the West arena.
