Did you know that not all veterinary hospitals are the same when it comes to caring for cats?

We are proud to be a Cat Friendly Practice accredited by the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. This certification recognizes hospitals that go above and beyond to reduce stress and provide care specifically tailored to the unique needs of feline patients.

What does that mean for your cat?
• A calmer, more cat-friendly environment
• Team members trained in feline handling techniques
• Reduced stress throughout the visit
• Care designed with your cat's comfort, safety, and wellbeing in mind

Take a look through the infographic from FelineVMA to learn more about what makes a Cat Friendly Practice different!

If your cat ever has an emergency, remember that where you take your pet matters. Our team is here 24/7 to provide compassionate, expert emergency care with your feline companion's unique needs in mind.

FCVEH technician Ame recently visited our friends at Inkwell Veterinary for a Lunch & Learn focused on updated veterinary CPR guidelines.

Together, the team reviewed their crash cart, discussed the latest CPR recommendations, and talked through ways to help their team feel prepared when an emergency arises.

Staff dog Zelda was a particularly engaged audience member, although her tongue out expression suggests she may have had some notes on the presentation!

We love opportunities to share lunch, connect with our veterinary partners, and work together to support pets across our community!

After Huckleberry was bitten by a rattlesnake, his family rushed him to FCVEH, where he received emergency care including antivenom and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

HBOT can be used alongside other treatments to support healing in certain emergency conditions, including rattlesnake bites.

We’re so glad we could be there for Huckleberry and his family when they needed us most!

Supporting local rescues is one of the many ways we stay connected to Northern Colorado's pet community.

We're proud to partner with Animal Friends Alliance through their Business Partners in Animal Welfare program and support their mission of helping pets find loving homes.

If you're thinking about adopting, we encourage you to visit Animal Friends Alliance! And if you adopt starting in August, be sure to check your adoption packet for a special offer from Fort Collins VEH, available exclusively to newly adopted pet families.

Having pets with chronic conditions like Addison's disease can sometimes mean unexpected trips to the emergency hospital.

Recently, Yoke took one of those unexpected trips to FCVEH. Thanks to a dedicated family who knew the signs and acted quickly, Yoke is back to enjoying the things that matter most...like peaceful evenings by the water.

For pets with chronic illnesses, having access to emergency care can make all the difference. Our team is here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ready to provide compassionate care whenever your pet needs us.
