If you need guidance choosing which CMD Pet products are best for your dog, post the case in our group Ask The Pet Derm Herbalist. I am happy to help you!

Include a photo or 2, the age, weight, and breed of your dog (or cat), what diagnosis the vet told you, how long the problem has been a concern, and what the current symptoms are.

Here is my dog Wee Stewie - he's a 5-lb chihuahua with color dilution alopecia, who periodically develops yeast overgrowth. Our Solution Y/F supplement gets it under control fast for him. (and most of his fur along his spine has grown in since we gave him the herbs).

I have a lot of experience caring for dogs with tracheal collapse. I run a small sanctuary for senior and special needs dogs The Queen's Hound Sanctuary (in addition to my job as herbalist and formulator at CMD Skin & Pet Solutions). I have refined Solution TC: Ease Cough herbal supplement to be so effective that my current dogs no longer need pharmaceutical cough meds to keep it managed. It is safe to take with pharmaceuticals for cough or cardiac meds (as this can be associated with heart valve disease in dogs).

Try it for as long as 60 days- if you see no improvement, we will refund your purchase price. That's how confident we are that this will help your dog breathe easier.

Do not stop any other medications without discussing this with your vet. Sometimes an integrative approach (combining holistic treatment with conventional treatment) is what will be most effective for your best friend. 🐾

Getting itchy skin conditions under control for your dog can be complex. There are often layers of problems - allergy creates itch which leads to licking and then infection sets in which leads to more itching and the whole problem can get out of control fast.

Sometimes it is best to combine natural medicine with pharmaceutical meds, especially when there is bacterial infection. I'll always recommend cytology (have your vet look at a skin scraping under the microscope) to identify which pathogens are causing the infection. Then targeted antibiotics can be chosen (this is the most responsible way to use antibiotics - don't just guess what you're dealing with).

Give your dog Solution AL: Calm Lick herbal supplement in their food to help break that stubborn itch-lick cycle and reduce inflammation while the antibiotics work on the infection. By the end of 2 to 4 weeks, there will be much improvement and you and your vet can then focus on long-term management of the underlying skin issues (usually allergies).

We will be sharing more content with you starting in the coming weeks.

Our founder, Diana Hermann (that's me, I'm writing in third person perspective 😂), has been exceedingly busy with a personal project: The Queen's Hound, a sanctuary for senior and special needs pets.

The special dogs and cats at our sanctuary have needed extra support in the past couple of months and their needs have taken precedence over everything else. And since CMD Pet Solutions (the brand) is part of a small company (the company is CMD Skin Solutions), some things gets pushed aside when lives depend on time management.

Thank you for being our customers- we look forward to soon sharing more useful content with you that will improve how you care for your pets.

Last week, I said The Big Goodbye to my sweet Wee Mr. Murray. He was over 14 years old and already had progressing canine cognitive dysfunction when I adopted him in November 2024. By the summer, life with him became very challenging because his agitation and disrupted sleep cycles meant lots of restless, sleepless nights. But within a week of starting him on these herbs (1g twice oer day for 8lbs), I noticed a difference. Within a month, his sleep was considerably improved. After 2 months, he was sleeping soundly through the night, and we had our life back because we were both able to sleep at night again. He was calmer and far less agitated during the day, too. These herbs changed our lives. They gave 6 more good-quality months together. I hope they can help more dogs with dementia find mental calm and give their families more quality time with them in their final years.

Dementia is a thief...hopefully, this herbal formula can give you more good times with your senior dog.

Solution CD: Settle Agitation herbal supplement (concentrated granules). Find them on our website under Special Senior Dog Formulas.
