Hard to believe but we see it all the time at The Puppy School. The first day of puppy kindergarten is so exciting and everything is so new including new puppy friends and new people friends and learning all sorts of new things that some puppies just have to express their excitement and might do so through LOTS of barking. But, experience tells us that by Class 2 that puppy will be much more settled albeit still happy and by the third class in puppy Kinder one the puppy is having lots of fun but expressing it far less through barking and much more through paying close attention and engaging in all the activities. This was the case with Belle. Not only did she have perfect puppy behavior by the last class in puppy Kinder one but she also wins the award for the best "stay"! Congratulations Belle!

You may have heard about our puppy play dates at The Puppy School but did you know there is also a new "Senior Dog Hangout" group? All dogs benefit from social time with both other dogs and other people, no matter the age. Maybe you used to take your senior dog to the dog park but don't do that anymore for fear they might get hurt, or maybe they have lost some of their old friends and need new ones, or you just want to provide some new mental stimulation opportunities and calm fun for your old friend. This group is to give senior dogs an opportunity to be around other dogs their own age and also to give people the opportunity to share tips about what they do to ensure the continued happiness and well-being of their Senior Dogs. There is no cost to join this group. You can contact The Puppy School for more information and share the news with others you know who have older dogs.

Little Daisy arrived in her new home less than one week ago and she has already had a private class at home to ensure she and her family start off on the right path together from the start. That was already highly likely even before Daisy arrived because her new "mom", Madison, was well prepared having done a pre-adoption consult with Roo. Congratulations on a great start! And there is so much more good and fun to come in life for little Daisy and for her family!
