Little Ziva update! We’d hoped to bring her home yesterday, but ultimately decided a few more weeks under the watchful care of Meghan McGann would be to her benefit. Her leg is looking GREAT! You can hardly tell there was a lesion at all, so that is excellent news! But, now we’re in the delicate time where she’ll need to start gaining fitness and range of motion without reinjuring the leg… I’m hoping to try to afford some swim therapy, so 🤞🏼 we can make that happen!

We dropped the ball a bit and forgot the Mustang Heritage Foundation’s Virtual Freestyle entries closed tonight😬 (too much going on!); soooo, Elsa and Theia threw together an impromptu little tackless freestyle tonight! Would be cool if they made it!

With so many students/horses, I’m bound to forget someone 🤦‍♀️ Christine Swardson Olver and Mustang, Bridgie also had an awesome xc school, tackling some harder questions! Aaannndddd, enjoy this hilarious but impressive clip of Lori jumping the wrong jump, but quite casually popping over the big Training corner out of the water 🤦‍♀️😂 Az, said ‘oh sure mom, that’s easy!’

Took 12 horses to Redefined for some xc lessons today, and despite a short weather delay, it was a great time! Everyone made improvements, gained some confidence and learned ways to improve their horses and themselves! Big thanks to Elsa Feucht who really helped her mom out by riding Rygun and Opie, since it’s very hard to teach effectively while riding your own. She learned some good ways to teach Rygun how to slow down and process questions, and expertly piloted Opie through the Training combos! Elsa also helped out riding Kwani in the first half, till her student was ready, and had a great school on Athena, who also tried some Training questions with No issues! Dagny and Callie had their first xc school in a while and did awesome, .eventing rode Alastor and really brought him some confidence, and Lori had her first real xc school on the BEST pocket rocket, Arabian, Az! We might fail to sell him again 😂 Lucía had the privilege of riding Atta, Madison built more confidence on Roman, Lisa got to do some little strength building and mind excuses with Cash, Maggie did AMAZING with her pony, River, and Emily overcame some ditch trouble with Jack, finishing strong! Finally, Sydney overcame her fears and surpassed what she set out to do with Kwani! Love helping riders reach their goals, and horses feel more confident 😍

Another great Wild Rose Mustang Challenge! Both Youth and Adult Trainers this year, plus the Mustang Open Show! Busy, hectic, tiring, but so worth it to see how well everyone did and the fun that was had showing off Mustangs! Big congrats to Lucía Vanoplinus and Dory Schmidt for winning the Adult division with their filly, Cherry! And, for my rare bias mom moment, GREAT job to Elsa Feucht ! Though, she didn’t score as well as she hoped, she has done a fantastic job training little Papaya all summer (with very little help from her busy mom) and I have no doubt he’ll be a perfect little horse for his new adopters! Elsa also took home 1st place in ridden Trail and Hunter Over Fences with the perfect, Atta and showed off Theia’s tackless jumping! We brought 6 other Mustangs, and the riders did an awesome job showing people how cool these horses can be!! Big THANKS to everyone that helped make this event a success! Go Mustangs! You know we’re getting ready for some freestyles when the crazy stuff comes out! Certainly desensitizes all the horses 😂 And, sorry Ellie Bruckert , I just had to include the last clip… No horses, humans or balloons were harmed in this undertaking, but perhaps don’t try this one at home 😅

We’re a little over a month away from heading to the RRP TB Makeover with 5 incredible OTTB’s and some awesome riders! Our CSU team has been doing great getting started with Eventing with Gem Mint Ten and Shore Lodge (Kwani). They’ll hopefully be adding Freestyle and Show Jumping to the schedule at RRP! Elsa and Lady Mcsparkles (Athena) have been killing it in Eventing and prepping for Freestyle, Ellie Bruckert and Valentyme (Selene) are really starting to figure each other out and also doing great in Eventing and prepping for Freestyle, and last but not least, our late entry Donnegal Momentum (Rygun) is catching up to the rest and putting the pieces together, to hopefully compete in Eventing and maybe Show Jumping 🤷🏻‍♀️😅 It’s a huge endeavor to get this group to the Makeover and support these horses and riders; we’ve already had some amazing sponsors, but are looking for more help with travel costs etc for the team!
