🐾 What if someone, somewhere, is looking for Nubia? 🥺❤️

This is Nubia, a beautiful dog about a year and a half old who was found yesterday behind Multieventos.

Because of her behavior and appearance, we believe she may have a family who loves her and could be looking for her right now. 🥹🐶

Nubia is medium-sized, with a beautiful dark coat and distinctive white markings on her face, chest, and paws that make her truly special. 🤍

🙏 Help us find her family. If you recognize her, know her family, or have any information that could help us reach them, please send us a private message.

📲 Please share this post. Sometimes, one simple share is all it takes for a story to reach the right person. ❤️🐾

🐱✨ Ronald has a mission for today: to find his favorite person! ❤️

This little gentleman is playful, affectionate, curious, and, as you can imagine… he also has a special talent for stealing hearts! 😂🐾

The Cotacachi Municipal Commissioner’s Office found him abandoned in the Piñán area and brought him to our hospital for a medical check-up. Thankfully, he is in good health, has been neutered and vaccinated, and is ready to enjoy a new adventure filled with lots of cuddles, playtime, and, of course, delicious food. 😹❤️

👀 Would you like to meet him? Come see him TODAY!

✅ Dewormed
✅ Microchipped

Now he's feeling better and ready to meet new friends!

📍 Visit us at the hospital today to spend some time with him.

And to our recurring donors: thank you 🫶Your ongoing support makes stories like Francis's possible. Because of you, we're able to provide medical care, preventive treatments, and second chances to animals who need them most. Every vaccination, surgery, and recovery is made possible by the kindness of people who believe that every animal deserves a healthy and happy life.💜

🐾 Do you know if I have a home? 🐾

This sweet girl has been hanging around Rumi Tola, and we're trying to find out if she has a family looking for her!

Her name is Glenda (at least that's what we're calling her for now 😊). She's about 2 years old and was reported to us because of a concern about one of her eyes. The good news is that after examining her, we found that her eye is healthy! She does have some old scars on her legs, but they appear to be from injuries that healed some time ago.

📍 Found in: Rumi Tola 🐶 Female 🎂 Approximately 2 years old

If Glenda belongs to you, or if you know where she lives, please send us a message or contact the hospital.

Please share this post to help us reunite her with her family, if she has one! ❤️🐾

🤩 A heartfelt thank you to the incredible volunteers who supported our recent sterilization campaign!👏

Over the course of a very busy week, hundreds of animals from surrounding communities received preventive veterinary care, and none of it would have run as smoothly without the dedication, energy, and compassion of our volunteers. 😻

🫶Heidi Small, , Marie Forman, Maria Frankie Foreman, Benjamin Bryant, Felipe, Antonella Perugachi and Isabella, your contribution made a real difference for both the animals and the people we serve.💙

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the wonderful restaurants and local businesses that helped welcome our visiting veterinarians. Coo Coo's Diner Ecuador, Vandanam Indian restaurant Cotacachi, Espresso Río Intag, Kafeto, El Leñador, thank you for showcasing the warmth, hospitality, and flavors of Cotacachi, and for helping ensure our guests left with not only new professional skills and unforgettable memories, but also a deep appreciation for our community.

These collaborations remind us that creating positive change takes a village. Every surgery, every meal, every act of kindness, and every hour volunteered contributed to the success of this campaign.

Thank you for helping us improve animal welfare, support veterinary education, and make a lasting impact together. We are proud to be part of such a generous and compassionate community.🙌🥰

💫240 surgeries. 240 rabies vaccinations. Countless lives improved.🙌🥳

Through our recent RACE-approved Surgical Skills Enhancement Program, veterinarians from joined our team in rural Ecuador last week, combining advanced surgical training with direct community impact. Together, we provided spay and neuter surgeries to 240 dogs and cats, helping improve their health and welfare while preventing future suffering. Every animal also received a rabies vaccination, protecting both animal and public health. 🥰

We are especially grateful to the veterinarians who traveled to Ecuador with a commitment to learning, serving, and expanding access to care. Their dedication, compassion, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones made this program an extraordinary success. 🫶😻

Thank you to Veterinary Practice Partners for helping make this work possible and for investing in a model that advances veterinary education while delivering meaningful care where it is needed most.👏

🐾 When the Municipio de Cotacachi steps in to help animals in need, we're here to lend a hand.

Most often, our partnership focuses on providing veterinary care for vulnerable animals and bringing access to sterilization services to communities that might not otherwise have those opportunities. But this week, we were asked to help in a different way.

After their owner passed away, two dogs were left without a home and were placed with a foster. To help ensure they continued receiving the care they needed, the Municipio reached out to us for support with food while they await their next chapter.

Moments like these remind us that protecting animals takes a community. Thank you to our donors for making it possible to respond when animals need us most. ❤️🐶

P.S. Stay tuned for the results of this week’s sterilization campaign! From wagging tails to contented purrs, our hospital has been bustling with patients every day as we deliver vital preventive care to the animals who need it most.

This week, we're proud to welcome a new cohort of veterinarians from (VPP) to Ecuador for our RACE-approved Surgical Skills Enhancement Program.

Through this immersive continuing education experience, participants are strengthening their surgical skills while working alongside experienced veterinary mentors in a high-volume, real-world setting. Beyond advancing their professional development, they are contributing directly to increasing access to veterinary care in underserved rural communities around Cotacachi.

At Amici Cannis, we believe that investing in veterinary education creates a ripple effect of impact. Every veterinarian who gains confidence, experience, and advanced surgical training is better equipped to improve the lives of countless animals throughout their career.

We're grateful to for their commitment to lifelong learning and for partnering with us to make this program possible.
