At the 2026 K9 Veterans Day ceremony, it was a privilege to be able to honor 92-year-old (young) retired Air Force Master Sergeant Gove Cline who served as a K9 handler with his loyal and courageous partner K9 Ell during the Korean War and was active during the Battle of Hill 180. The K9 Quilt of Honor, a 501c3 organization, presented a quilt and certificate honoring Master Sergent Cline. Also, Sergeant Major Lavalle, U.S. Army Military War Dog Program Manager also presented a certificate honor Cline and K9 Ell for their service. It was an unsurpassed honor to have this opportunity.
