Founded in 1979, Forney Animal Hospital
has provided veterinary services to the
Forney Community for over 30 years. Since
the partnership of Lucille Nix, DVM and
Jeffery Pruitt, DVM gained ownership in
2007, Forney Animal Hospital has strived for
excellence in the service of veterinary
medicine. Dr. Nix also stays active in the
Forney Community, allowing student
volunteers to observe the practice.

She is a
member of the Animal Shelter Community
and was happy to host the Pet Palooza in
2011. Dr. Nix is a member of the Chamber of
Commerce and supports the community
with property taxes. As the City of Forney
has grown and prospered, Forney Animal
Hospital has grown as well, allowing the
practice to accommodate patients in a more
timely manner. In July 2009, Forney Animal
Hospital held the grand opening of a stateof-
the-art 8,000 sq ft facility.

We are proud to partner with the SPCA of Texas to help adopted pets start off strong in their new homes. Through our Healthy Start program, each pet receives a free initial exam and personalized care, support, and guidance from our teams.

Say hello to this week's mutt crush, Jazzy! Jazzy Is Here, and She Is Absolutely, Completely, Irresistibly One of a Kind. One ear up. One ear flopped. Tongue out. Smile on full blast. That is Jazzy.

A beautiful two-year-old, 56 pound Shepherd Mix, with a heart so big and a love for life so infectious that everyone who meets her walks away a little happier than they arrived. Jazzy is joyful and playful and funny and smart and curious and loyal, and she comes with a Borrow A Buddy review so glowing it practically has its own spotlight.

Here is what one lucky family had to say after spending the day with her: "Jazzy was the most calm, perfectly well-behaved and affectionate girl for our family." She joined them for brunch at Katy Trail Ice House. Jazzy lounged gracefully in the shade at Glencoe Park while their son had football practice.

She came home with them, nailed the whole house visit like a seasoned professional, and melted completely into belly rubs and a good brushing like she had been waiting for exactly that her entire life. Jazzy takes treats gently right out of your hand and is eager to learn. She loves long walks on a leash and people. She is, in a word, a delight.

A total, complete, one-ear-up delight.

Jazzy is an SPCA of Texas Longtime Lovable—a pet who’s been in the shelter more than 60 days—so her adoption fee is FREE!

Jazzy is the kind of dog who fits into your life like she was always supposed to be there. Brunch on a patio? She is the best table companion you have ever had. Lazy afternoon in the park? She is already finding the best shady spot. Evening at home with belly rubs and treats? She will absolutely never complain.
