ARE YOU GOING TO THE STATE FAIR THIS YEAR???

This year, the Minnesota Senate State Fair poll includes the following question:
"Should Minnesota ban pet shops from selling dogs and cats while continuing to allow pet shops to host adoption events for animals from shelters or rescue organizations?"

If you're attending the Minnesota State Fair, please stop by the Minnesota Senate booth in the Education Building and vote "YES" on Question 3.

Legislation to prohibit the sale of puppies in pet shops is expected to be considered again in 2027. A strong show of support at the State Fair can help demonstrate that Minnesotans want lawmakers to take action to stop the puppy mill pipeline and protect animals and consumers.

Our animals have BIG appetites, and we need your help filling the freezers!

WSC is hosting a meat drive, and every donation—big or small—helps us provide a varied diet for the wolves, bears, mountain lion, and other carnivores that call WSC home.

Have meat taking up space in your freezer? This is the perfect excuse for a freezer clean-out!

Dr. Jess stopped by this week with another fun friend!
This baby Sandhill Crane was hit by a car and broke one of his legs.

We were happy to get his xrays done and stabilize his injury with Dr. Jess!

Huge thank you to Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release for taking such amazing care for our state's injured wildlife!

We had a couple unusual visitors to the clinic this last week...
One was this super cute baby Raccoon!

We are so happy to be able to off our facility for diagnostics and treatment to these injured wildlife ❤️

***PLUMBER NEEDED***

Our dental table is also a sink. It was purchased brand new and installed by a plumber. Unfortunately, when we started using it for our dental procedures, about 6 months later, it never drained correctly. We contacted the plumber about the issue, they came back out and snaked the drain and found nothing obstructing the pipes. They said the issue there was not an "air gap" and when asked about it further, they said it never came with one...

We are not sure what all of this means, but this same sink table is in the majority of vet clinics and all of them drain normally.

We are hoping a local small business plumber would be interested in helping us! We could easily call a big name but we always go with small local owned businesses in our community. We are located in Columbus/Forest Lake.

Cabela visited us for a dental today. She is an 11 year old lab that is part of a military family and has move all over the world (even Japan) when they get reassigned. She is an integral part of their family and we are so happy to be able to provide care for her. She wandered off her recover blankets to the front desk to hang out up there and wait for mom ❤️
