This might be the thing I am MOST proud of with ziggs.

His 90 days is almost up and I’m honestly 1000% going to cry when I take this one home. He’s the kindest and most willing horse I’ve ever met.

Ziggs started training with MAJOR holes in standing tied foundation. He would lose his mind the second he was left alone. And I mean when people walked away too not just horses. LOL. he might actually like people more to be honest. After one week in training we had a smidge of a start but improvement nonetheless. At two weeks he was almost unrecognizable standing alone. Now he will still whinny or become alert when first left after 90 days but he’s still a completely different horse. He’s been standing right here for 2 hours (while I ride two others) today literally just sleeping. 🥰🥰 I’m overwhelmed by the feeling of success I have with ziggs. I’m sad but also very happy to send home this new gentleman in a few more weeks.

Ziggs you might just be my heart training horse. 🥰🥰

I'm in Forest Lake MN. These lessons would be for riders and their horse(s) at their home/barn, i do not provide horses. There are solo lesson rates and discounted group lesson rates based on distance from my town. I can do lessons in just about everything western; from basics and buttons, to patterning, to obstacles, to ground work etc. Specializing in Barrel racing, gaming, rodeo, and foundation work (Fancy Buttons).

Had a fabulous ride on Ziggy pants tonight! He was a dream in the arena and is doing amazing at staying in between the reins now even at a lope!! We also worked on trail riding out alone. We got almost to the point where our friends were out of sight. We handled working up that far relatively well and it felt like a good place to hop off, loosen the cinch and reward. Looking forward to what we can accomplish in the next 37 days that we have left! He’s come so far already!

Ziggs day 1 bootcamp: standing tied without pawing.

Everyone got to enjoy a spa day while Ziggys learned a little patience. Sure do love having them all cleaned up and braided. They are all so cute!!

Ok friends I have to brag on Sophia and rooster for a moment.

Sophia started lessons with me about a month ago to help her start her project c**t that she purchased this year.

To prep for show season, this week we also started working with her seasoned horse to polish some stuff up.

The first video is day 1 meeting rooster for the first time yesterday. He’s heavy in his front end and anticipating the turns pretty heavily. He throws his ribs and shoulder towards the barrels and it actually makes turning a lot harder on himself. It typically results in barrels down and/or blowing off the back side of the turns.

Video two (in comments) is after our second lesson today just doing a few drills to soften him up and get his ribcage, shoulder and nose where they belong.

The progress in just 2 lessons is absolutely amazing!!!!! I cannot wait to see these two grow throughout the show season.

We will focus on her baby weekly with monthly check-ins and new drills for her and rooster as well.
