Before a dog is allowed to cross any. Threshold, whether it's exiting the create, heading out the front door or jumping out of the car, they need to learn that an open door is not an invitation to bolt.. By enforcing a strict wait* We teach dogs to pause, engage their brain,
and wait* for their handler's release cue: like a calm "break or free"..
