Intake id # 171
Found at 1XX N Lincoln in Fond du Lac.
Weighing in at 4 weeks old, this little man, with his shrill cries for assistance, seems to have misplaced his mom.
Fortunately we have a nursing mom cat with similarly aged kittens, and the color theme is even correct.
She pulled him in with her herd of little "moos," cleaned him thoroughly and is showing him the food station. Some mom cats are just accomodating that way..

Dolly Diaries-

I have discovered one of the greatest luxuries known to cat-kind: eating a meal all by myself.

No one attempting to nurse while I'm chewing. Just me, my food, and a few glorious moments of peace.

Motherhood has been quite the adventure. One minute I'm cleaning kittens, the next I'm supervising a wrestling match, breaking up a tail-chasing competition, and wondering how five little fluff balls can create so much chaos.

But if I'm being honest, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Watching them grow from tiny squeaky potatoes into curious little kittens has been pretty amazing. Even when they're climbing on my head.

Of course, after enjoying my private dinner, I immediately went looking for my babies because the silence felt suspicious.
Apparently motherhood means spending half your day wishing for a break and the other half wondering where everyone went.

Now if you'll excuse me, I hear someone doing something they definitely shouldn't be doing.

Intake id # 170.
Please withhold from negative comments; my heart is broken for a cat and a family who loved, missed and was trying to find him.
A long-haired neutered male, orange tabby cat was hit by a car and killed on Pioneer Rd near Triangle Road in Fond du Lac this morning. He had a microchip and has been missing from the Westbend area for 3 months. We dont know how he made it all the way to Fond du Lac from where he went missing.
It is a difficult call to make, but this is why we pick up all of the deceased cats (and dogs) in city; to give closure.
His family is coming to claim his remains.
My heart is broken for a parent who now needs to tell her child her beloved pet was found deceased, and they will now need to lay him to rest..

Dolly Diaries-

Disaster has struck.
My mini-me, Loretta, has discovered my food bowl.

At first, she just waddled over and sniffed it. I thought, "Aww, how cute. She's pretending to be a grown-up."

Then she took a bite.
MY bite.

Now every meal feels like I'm hosting an all-you-can-eat buffet. Loretta has apparently informed the rest of the band that Mom's food is both delicious and free. It won't be long before Cash, Reba, Patsy, and Willie come stampeding over like tiny furry cattle.

I spent the last 4 weeks providing room service straight from the milk bar, and this is the thanks I get? Food thieves.

On the bright side, maybe they'll start eating more of their own meals and less of mine.

Who am I kidding?

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear cat hair and somehow end up wrangling a snapping turtle between nail trims and litter box duty. While running a rescue full of fluffy nuggets, she still found time to save the day for one grumpy prehistoric-looking turtle. Just another normal day for a rescue hero!

Intake id # 167
Found at 3XX Gillett St. in Fond du Lac.
Weighing in at 5 weeks old, this little guy was found in a backyard yard screaming his head off for his mom. Enough time went by, it was obvious mom was not coming back, and the resident dogs really needed to use that back yard for their bathroom break.
