For years, I’ve helped service dog teams through the highs, the lows, the setbacks, and the moments when it feels like you’re taking ten steps backward. With 10+ years of experience training service dogs, raising dogs for others, and specializing in task training (my personal favorite!), I’ve learned that sometimes an outside perspective can help you see the bigger picture when you’re too close to the situation.
I’ve also offered low-cost virtual training to help make support more accessible because I know this journey isn’t easy, and not everyone has access to the same resources.
✨ Will everyone agree with my decisions or how I handle every situation? Absolutely not, and that’s okay.
You don’t have to agree with every handler’s choices, and not every team’s journey will look like yours. We can have different opinions, different methods, and different experiences while still treating each other with respect.
The non-negotiable? The dog’s well-being, safety, and needs must come first.
Educate when you can. Ask questions respectfully. Offer support instead of judgmental especially in this community. And remember that you are seeing a moment of someone’s journey, not the entire story.
