It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the (surprise) birth, and unfortunate passing of Fleurty Girl. We only knew her a few hours, but she touched all of us and was just perfect in every way. Unfortunately the universe had other plans. I guess Chuck Norris needed a sweet angel to keep him company.

All good things must come to an end… the goodest boy is off on a new adventure in Raleigh, NC. I couldn’t ask for a better home for him to go to. Looking forward to watching him grow and thrive with his new momma. Gonna miss him dearly.

A Falchion appreciation post. The goodest boi stepped it up the other day when I decided to see how he felt about trying some beginner novice fences. He just said mom I’ve got this, hold on. Gave him the choice of if he wanted to face the new questions, and he said hold my beer. And when things went horribly awry (not his fault in the slightest), he saved both of us from a potentially deadly situation. So proud of how much he has grown, and looking forward to next show season with him.

One day I am going to be completely prepared and ready for a horse show… all the stars aligned not in my favor. I have not been able to ride all week due to an untimely cold or whatever that decided to hit me like a freight train… my horses have decided that all of their saddles need adjusting.. and just the week from hell in general.
My crew put forth a great effort despite their pilot not being at 100%. Cerys had one of her better attempts at 3rd3 despite my energy dying halfway through the test. Falx had his best ring experience since the arena blew down around him, with a lackluster pilot. Tessa got some needed mileage in the show ring, learning that not all shows include jumping. She gets better with every outing.
Ragen and put forth some great tests despite several setbacks leading up to the show. A great return from the summer break from showing.
The star of the show was Rendezvous LDK (Scooby) who was just a superstar for his first show. Earning a fantastic 73% In both Intro a and b tests. Very excited for this boys future!

A fun play day for both mustangs. Neither have been out to play in a while and neither missed a beat. Falx even played with his first beginner novice fence (not counting the bank). Thank you .sd and for the moral support!

Max and Flash were certainly screaming “what’s going on” on their big adventure to the sporthorse handling clinic the other week. But nevertheless, they were very good boys and just growing up way too quickly! Thank you for this opportunity, and thank you for aiding in creating such awesome c**ts!

The Dauterive Equestrian team had a successful outing at the CT & Dressage last weekend. Andrea did not have her best dressage test, but had her most solid jump round to date on the old pro, Picaro. Ann made her grand return to the show ring on Vegas after both having essentially a month off, and rocked it with a 66 and a 67. Ragen last minute showed her gorgeous Tessa for the first time and had a very positive experience! I also showed Tessa in First 3 for the first time and earned a solid 67 with rider errors (I pulled my quad 3 days prior….) so smiles and daiquiris all around! The next day both Ann and Ragen had amazing lessons with the fabulous Aaron Wilson.
Awesome weekend with awesome people! Now to prep for to walk down the most important centerline of all!!
