Just a relaxing day....

Hurricane Isaias is heading toward the Gulf Coast, and Southeast Louisiana could feel its effects late Friday into Saturday. Now is the time to get ready. 🌀

If you have a service dog or pet, make sure they're part of your plan:
✅ Food and water for several days
✅ Medications, plus copies of vaccination records
✅ Leash, vest and ID tags (check that microchip info is current)
✅ A crate or carrier in case you need to evacuate or shelter
✅ A familiar blanket or toy to help them settle

Under the ADA, service dogs can stay with their handlers in public emergency shelters.

Please check on your veteran neighbors, especially anyone who lives alone or manages a disability. A quick call today can make a big difference.

Follow the National Weather Service and your local officials for the latest updates and any evacuation orders. Stay safe, everyone. 🇺🇸

Mother Nature had other plans.

With the hurricane headed our way, we are postponing the Annual United States Veterans Service Dogs Gala to Saturday, February 20, 2027. The safety of our veterans, their service dogs, our guests, and our team comes first.

Same mission, same night of dancing, stories, and silent auction, just with a little more time to get here. We'll share more details as they're finalized.

Stay safe, and keep an eye on your neighbors this week. 🇺🇸
