It was a great to partner with sail 250 USO Louisiana Mississippi to allow us to come and talk about how we support our veterans!
It was an honor to share how our specially trained dogs provide support to mitigate the effects of mental and physical disabilities.

Everyone loved meeting Zeus, our future service dog in training! 🐶🐾

Be on the lookout for the USVSD Suburban during Fleet Week, part of Sail 250 New Orleans!

As we continue our work supporting veterans through highly trained service dogs, we’re also proud to recognize the sponsors who help make this mission possible.

Take a moment to look at the names on the USVSD Suburban, learn about the businesses standing with our veterans, and help us thank them for their support.

A special thank-you to Louisiana Cat for supporting USVSD and the veteran community. Learn more about them here: https://www.louisianacat.com/

If you see the USVSD Suburban, snap a photo, tag us, and come say hello!

Some dogs are trained for the job.

Some dogs are born for it.

Abe was trained for many tasks, but his true calling was PTSD support.

From picking up items and opening doors to sensing when his veteran needed him most, Abe showed early on that he was meant for this work.

For Navy Veteran Chris Rogers, Abe became more than a service dog; he became a trusted partner in healing.

Chris once questioned whether PTSD service dogs were real. Now, he knows the truth:

They are trained to help.
Their job is to support.
And sometimes, healing begins when you allow yourself to accept the help.
