FUR rescues abandoned, neglected, and abused rabbits. All Rabbits are spayed/neutered, litter box trained, vaccinated against RHDV2, and socialized before being adopted. Our rabbits are adopted to carefully screened indoor homes.

Maverick who we rescued from the Bradshaw Animal Shelter last week saw the fabulous Dr Griffiths today Gold Country Veterinary Hospital. Maverick was likely attacked by another animal which is the reason he has so many healed injuries. He is being treated for mites and will be neutered.

Timing is everything. For 10 precious bunny time was on their side. On Wednesday evening we received a call from Good Day Sacramento Anchor and Reporter Tina Macuha that an abandoned rabbit had appeared on her lawn. We quickly rushed over to rescue the rabbit and safely secured her in a foster home. Later that evening beautiful Tyra gave birth to 9, yes NINE kits. Mom and babies are all doing well.

The cost to spay/neuter and vaccinate Mom and babies will cost over $3500. We desperately need donations to cover the cost of their medical expenses as well as care expenses for food, timothy hay, and litter. Will you help us with a donation ?

Please continue to keep Chiperrett in your thoughts & prayers. She is still hospitalized. She was rescued by about 6 months ago when she was found abandoned outside. I’ve (Kimberly the Director of FUR) been fostering her and taking care of her due to her medical needs. She has had severe bladder sludge. We think a new medication might have caused her current condition. She’s a super sweet bunny🐰 She cripples urine from a procedure she had done months ago to flush the massive sludge from her bladder.
