KOHS Spring Into Summer Show Highlights ☀️🐴
What a weekend! I’m so proud of this team. It was hot, but our riders, horses, and families handled it like champions. Here are some of the highlights:
✨ Hazel & Ash decided to give the jumper ring a try and brought home Reserve Champion in the X-Rail Jumpers!
✨ Emma & Swiss Roll also made their jumper debut, earning 2nd place in the X-Rail Jumper Classic.
✨ MG & Leno moved up to the .65 Jumpers and were 2nd in the Classic! So proud of this duo!
✨ Anna & Bailey were Champion of the .80 Jumper Division and had a blast in the Gambler’s Choice, taking 8th place and soaring over the Joker fence!
✨ Caroline B & Belle earned Reserve Champion in the .80 Jumpers, and Belle went on to win the Gambler’s Choice with Lindsay!
✨ Amy & Buddy had a fantastic show with consistent placings right behind their barnmates. Let’s just say Pony Power owned the .80 Division! Buddy, ever the gentleman, let the mares have their moment—but he reminded everyone he’s still got plenty of hops at the young age of 21, taking 4th in the Gambler’s Choice with Lindsay.
✨ A huge shout-out to our first-timers, Georgia Mendheim and Collins Steinhauer! Both girls brought their A-game and, in their very first horse show, earned Champion and Reserve Champion honors. Seeing those smiles from ear to ear absolutely made this trainer’s day.
✨ Addison & Avery and Annie were their consistently champion selves, bringing home plenty of ribbons and prizes. I think it’s safe to say it’s time for these superstars to move up a division!
✨ Pony Power dominated the Walk Pole Division with Adeline Bedell, Georgia Mendheim, and Beatrice Bingham. We had a tie for Champion and also claimed Reserve Champion. Not too shabby!
✨ Caroline S & Simon unfortunately parted ways on Saturday, but Caroline handled it with incredible grace, resilience, and maturity. On Sunday, she came back strong with Justin to become Champion of the X-Rail Equitation Division. What a comeback story!
✨ Evan was a great sport when his pony wasn’t feeling her best. Unfortunately, moments like these are part of our sport, and learning to put the needs of our four-legged partners before our own is an important lesson to learn early on. We’re proud of Evan for handling it with such maturity and kindness. We’re sure this pair will be back in action soon!
I couldn’t be prouder of every rider. I love the kindness, encouragement, and teamwork this group shows—not just in the ring, but outside of it too. Thank you to our amazing horses, supportive families, and everyone who pitches in to make these weekends so special.
And thank you all for making me look good! 😂❤️
Now it’s time for a well-deserved break until our next show in September. We can’t wait to do it all again! 🩷🐴🏆🎀
