🐾❤️ It takes a Village.

And here in the Village of Folsom, we’re lucky to have some pretty amazing people.

A few weeks ago, these three tiny kittens were found behind the Discount Zone at only about 3 weeks old. Small, vulnerable, and in need of help, their future was uncertain.

When Natalie and Cheryl learned about them, they—and these incredible kids—stepped up without hesitation, opening their hearts and helping give these babies the love, care, and attention they needed to thrive. 🥰

Today, they came to see Dr. Karen for their checkup, and we’re happy to report that all three received a clean bill of health! 🎉🐱

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to witness stories like this. Not only seeing animals get a second chance, but watching young people learn firsthand what compassion, kindness, and responsibility look like.

We’re grateful to be a small part of their journey and even more grateful to be part of a community that always seems to show up when it’s needed most.

It truly takes a Village. ❤️🐾

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who never made it home, and the families who continue to carry that loss every day.

From all of us at Folsom Veterinary Clinic, we extend our deepest gratitude to the heroes who gave their lives protecting the freedoms we often take for granted. Their courage, sacrifice, and service will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

While reflecting on the importance of this day, Folsom Veterinary Clinic will remain OPEN during our normal business hours to continue being here for our clients, patients, and community.

We know holidays don’t always stop unexpected illnesses, boarding needs, or pet emergencies — and caring for your pets when they need us most is something we’re proud to do.

Thank you to all who have served, and especially to those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy today. 🇺🇸

Today at FVC felt like Louisiana weather spun a wheel and selected every possible option. 🌪️🫠

Between the power outages, phones and internet going down, tornado watches, and trees down literally everywhere… today at FVC felt less like veterinary medicine and more like a live-action survival simulator.

Meanwhile our team just casually kept things moving in the dark like it was totally normal behavior. Huge shoutout to them for adapting on the fly and continuing to take amazing care of our patients through the chaos. 💙

And then — after all of whatever 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 was — the sky threw up a rainbow like we weren’t all one inconvenience away from a group mental breakdown 30 minutes earlier. 🌈

We sure hope everyone stayed safe today and avoided any major storm damage today. Louisiana stays committed to keeping us humble. 🐾

Willow really said “I’d like my first birthday to be memorable” and took that a little too seriously. 🫠

After getting “tapped” by a car, this sweet girl ended up spending her big day hanging out with the FVC crew — but thankfully, Willow is doing well!

Since she had to spend part of her special day with us, we made sure she still got the VIP treatment complete with a party hat, balloons, a birthday card, and her very own gift bag!

Safe to say Willow handled her birthday like an absolute champ. Happy 1st Birthday, sweet girl — we’re so glad you’re okay! 🫶🏼
