Meet BryAnna🐾✨

Although BryAnna joined our clinic team 6 months ago, she brings 4.5 years of Vet Tech experience with her—and her journey in vet med actually started over 5 years ago as a kennel tech! Growing up surrounded by all kinds of pets (from dogs, cats, and rabbits to a guinea pig, hamsters, and even a squirrel!), her passion for animal care started early.

After moving to Dawsonville in April, BryAnna settled in with her 3 dogs (Bubba, Baby and Smokey) and a leopard gecko (sticky). When she’s not taking amazing care of your pets, you can find her hanging out with her boyfriend, family, and friends, or diving into her favorite hobbies like crochet, LEGO building, and Minecraft! 🧶🧱🎮

We’re so happy to have had BryAnna on our team for the last 6 months. Happy Vet Tech Week! 🎉🐶🐱

🐾💚 Vet Tech Week Spotlight: Kay! 🩺🐱

Meet Kay! She’s been working in veterinary medicine since she was 16 and recently made the move from Southwest Georgia to start a new chapter. Becoming a veterinarian has always been the dream, and she’s been working toward it ever since!

Kay has a special soft spot for cats and loves building relationships with her patients and their families. She’s compassionate, dedicated, always eager to learn, and brings plenty of personality and goofiness wherever she goes!

Her ultimate goal is to become a specialty veterinarian, but ask her which specialty and you might get a different answer depending on the day of the week! 😂 With so many fascinating areas of veterinary medicine to explore, she’s keeping her options open and enjoying the journey while she figures out where she fits best.

We’re excited to celebrate Kay this Vet Tech Week and can’t wait to see where her passion takes her! 🐾💚 She also has a calico named tempest who’s been her best friend since middle school! And a pittie named Garfield!

Next tech is Hanna!

Hanna is a veterinary assistant who recently joined the team at Chestnut Mountain Animal Hospital! She began her veterinary career as a kennel technician in Lawrenceville and has since worked her way up to becoming a veterinary assistant. She continued her journey in Athens, where she gained valuable experience in both small animal and exotic medicine.
Hanna has a special interest in client education and Fear Free handling. She is passionate about helping pet owners feel informed and confident while ensuring every patient feels safe, comfortable, and cared for during their visit.
Outside of work, Hanna loves spending time with her beloved cats, Chives, Kris, and Kiwi, as well as her dog, Athena!

🐾 Meet Isaac! 🩺

Isaac has been part of our veterinary team since August 2023! Growing up on a farm surrounded by cattle, horses, and poultry houses, his love for animals started early. He was also quite the frog and snake catcher growing up! 🐸🐍

His favorite parts of veterinary medicine include learning from the veterinarians, assisting with treatments, and building relationships with clients and their pets.

This January, Isaac will attend the University of Georgia to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Avian Biology with a minor in Spanish. He hopes to attend veterinary school and become a mixed-animal veterinarian with a special interest in exotic and avian medicine.

Outside of work, Isaac stays busy caring for his own personal “jungle,” which includes dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and both saltwater and freshwater aquariums! Some of his favorite residents include Blue, his blue-tongued skink who eats wet dog food, and two foot-long Oscar fish who eat straight from his hand like underwater puppies! 🐠😂

When he’s not caring for animals, Isaac enjoys learning about herpetology, spending time with family and friends, and adding to his Pokémon card collection!

For Isaac, veterinary medicine is more than a career goal. It’s a lifelong passion for helping animals and the people who love them. ❤️🐾

It's going to look a lot different now....
and the squirrels are gonna be upset.

The trunk of the big Water Oak in front of our clinic was cracked by the storm a few weeks ago. Regretfully, we had to take it down over the weekend. Thank you Mountain Woods Services

Hopefully in about 200 more years we'll have some shade back.
