FIRST RIBBONS FOR PEARL & NICKEL! 🏆🦆

Tonight in Nashville, these two young retrievers earned their very first AKC Senior Hunt Test ribbons—and we couldn’t be prouder! 🤎🖤

But Senior isn’t just about fetching a duck.

A Senior Hunter has to show the skills that matter when the real birds are flying: long marks, multiple retrieves, land and water work, handling, steadiness, and the ability to stay focused when the pressure is on. These tests are designed to challenge a dog’s natural hunting ability and the training behind it.

Think your duck dog has what it takes? 👀🦆

An AKC Hunt Test is a great way to put your dog’s skills to the test outside the blind, build confidence and reliability, and see just how far you can take the partnership between you and your retriever.

And trust us… watching your dog put it all together in the field is pretty addictive. 😉

A huge THANK YOU to Gunner Kennel for hosting tonight’s event and for the beautiful specialty ribbons! We appreciate everyone who puts in the work to make these events happen.

🏆 Pearl — Senior Hunt Test
🏆 Nickel — Senior Hunt Test
🥇 First ribbons. Big memories. And hopefully many more to come.
