This is Lucy, I have been grooming Lucy for 2 years. She has allergies that cause her to be itchy, scratching and biting until she would make herself bleed. Her coat was thin and sparse, her eyes weepy and she was lethargic.
I am all too familiar with this because my Sh*tzu, Twinkle had the same issues. I tried everything over the years including apoquel with no success.
Greg, Lucy’s dad and I came up with a plan to keep her coat shaved short and regular bathing for comfort.
Her last grooming was in May and I hadn’t heard from Greg. I was hoping she hadn’t passed away. (As a groomer others fur babies are on my mind and in my heart)
Greg made an appointment for Lucy and informed me he had her on a new medication, Zenrelia and was doing well on it.
When Lucy came in yesterday she was like a completely different dog I was use to grooming the last 2 years. Her coat is filled in, full and thick, soft and shiny. The best part was seeing her excited to see her dad, jumping around like a puppy and smiling. She’s like a different dog, a happy itch free dog not a miserable dog.
For the first time I was able to give her a haircut and not a shave down.
She looks wonderful as you can see in the photos.
I urge everyone whose dog is suffering from allergies to look into Zenrelia. I wish I had known about it for Twinkle. But for Lucy it was wonderful to see her doing so well because I truly love all of the dogs that I groom.

Clips and Tips Fundraiser!!!
I am fundraising for Clip and Tip Strays. Particularly for an 89 year old woman in Flora on a limited income who is feeding 25 cats. All funds raised go towards spaying and neutering this colony.
She could also use help with dry cat food and donations can be dropped off at Wags and Wash.
All nail trims and half of my tips go to Flora TNR Locust St colony!
