We are so excited to celebrate Eeyore's official adoption!

Meet Fred! 🐾❤️

He’s a 5–6 year old, neutered male mastiff mix with a heart as big as he is, weighing in at 70 pounds of pure, cuddle-loving, loyal friendship. His main goal in life is simple: to be your best friend and have you be his.

Fred loves slow, short walks where he can sniff every telephone pole and street sign, and he walks wonderfully on a harness without barking at passing dogs. When he’s at home, one of his favorite pastimes is sitting by the glass storm door, soaking up the sun while watching the neighbors stroll by.
While Fred still plays like a puppy and loves a good game of chase, he shouldn't be encouraged to jump due to a past injury on his back left leg. He’s extremely gentle in the house—he won't chew on your furniture (though he might gently drag out a stray shoe!), sits politely without jumping on people, and doesn't do tricks. His behavior around cats is unknown, and while his tail wags when he sees other dogs, he hasn't been officially tested with them yet.
Fred would thrive most with a retired couple looking for a devoted companion. He wants to be right by your side for every waking moment, making him the absolute perfect choice for a home looking to feel complete. ❤️

🎃🐾 HEY GUYS! A LITTLE HOWL-O-WEEN RAFFLE UPDATE! 🐾🎃

We hope everyone is okay with this, but we've decided to extend our Halloween raffle until October 31st (Halloween Day) at 6:00 PM! 👻🎟️

Unfortunately, ticket sales have been much slower than we had hoped, and we haven't even sold enough tickets to cover the cost of the raffle basket itself. 😔

Rather than give up, we're hoping that extending the drawing a few extra days will give us a chance to sell more tickets and actually raise some much-needed funds for the dogs!

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, especially to those who have already purchased tickets and were looking forward to the drawing on the 25th.

But at the end of the day, this raffle was never really about the basket. It's about raising money to help the dogs who depend on us. ❤️🐶

Guess who just traded his shelter life for a whole new life?

Petey is officially on his Freedom Ride!! 🎉✨

This sweet 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier was the ultimate toy-collecting, grass-rolling, snack-loving lovebug at Prince George's County Animal Shelter, and now he is on his way to his next big adventure! 🧸🌱🍪
His tail is wagging at full speed, and he's ready for a lifetime of endless belly rubs, treat breaks, and cozy couch hangs. 💙

Huge thanks to every single person who shared his story, advocated for him, pulled for him. Especially to Lyle for driving him to safety and Robin for opening her home!
It truly takes a village to save a life, and today, Petey's story begins! 🐾🚗💨✨
