Update on Patrick … here is a dog that waited and waited and finally got his turn !! Now it’s Chico, Cobra Kai, Goober, Calliope and Tysons turn !!!

“Patrick is settling in quite nicely! He is the sweetest energizer bunny and is loving his back yard that he now roams free with no need for a leash (until it’s time to come in he doesn’t ever want to come inside he loves it outside 😂) we have been working on manners as he has met a few family members now and is getting better with not jumping to greet. He still loves his toys very much and always keeps one by his side! Patrick has been such a blessing and a joy to bring into my household and I am glad and proud to say he has his forever home!”

🇺🇸🐾 CHICO HAS ONE WISH FOR AMERICA’S 250TH YEAR… A HOME OF HIS OWN. 🐾🇺🇸

I’m really hoping this is Chico’s week.

In 12 years of volunteering, I’ve met a lot of dogs, and Chico is one of those special ones you just don’t forget. The kind of dog who makes you wonder how he’s still waiting.

Chico is about 1½ to 2 years old, 58 pounds, and quite simply one of the nicest dogs you’ll ever meet.

✅ Meet & greets with other dogs
✅ Has done wonderfully with children (meets with kids under 5)
✅ Has gone on day trips and been the perfect gentleman
✅ Sweet, affectionate, well-mannered, and eager to please

Every person who spends time with Chico falls for him. Volunteers love him. Families who meet him love him. He rides great, walks nicely, and just wants to be part of someone’s life.

Yet day after day, he watches other dogs leave while he waits.

And waits.

And waits.

This sweet boy should be celebrating America’s 250th birthday from a couch, a backyard, or curled up at the feet of a family who adores him. Instead, he’s still hoping someone will finally notice him.

It’s hard to believe that two years have already passed since we welcomed Demi into our family. Adopting her was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made, and seeing how wonderfully she has blossomed brings us so much happiness. This handsome gentleman is Little Kahuna, a sweet senior boy who is ready to trade shelter life for a comfy couch and a family to call his own.

Little Kahuna is estimated to be about 6 to 8 years old and weighs 78 pounds. He participates in meet and greets with other dogs and doesn’t seem to show much interest in them. He’s an easygoing guy who would do well with children around 6 years and older.

What does Little Kahuna love most? People! ❤️ He absolutely lights up for pets, attention, and especially those coveted b***y scratches. He’s the kind of dog who is happiest just hanging out with his humans, soaking up affection, and enjoying the simple things in life.
