Here at For the Cats’ Sake, we have several cats currently in our care who have required extensive and costly veterinary treatment. As you can imagine, these expenses add up quickly, and we are doing everything we can to give each of them the care they need and deserve. ❤️ By purchasing some delicious See’s Candies, you're not just treating yourself or someone special, but you're helping us care for the cats who depend on us every single day. Every purchase, no matter how small, makes a difference. We are so grateful for our supporters who continue to help us give these precious cats a chance at a healthier, happier life.

Thank you for being part of our rescue family!

"Ripley is the happiest cat I've ever seen." That is the message we got from RIPLEY's third and FINAL adopter. It was meant to be, that when her second adoption failed (not her fault), she returned to her foster mom and was adopted by her. Donna her mom says "She's started going outside in small doses and stays close but is so happy she's always purring. Ripley LOVES when things are going on, and there's a bit of Chaos, she loves it. And shes the official food time supervisor." These are the happy endings that sometimes take years to find, but make the wait all worthwhile. To know that this PERFECTLY lovely kitty is finally and truly HOME, is a wonderful feeling, and Donna and Jason have given that to so many kitties over the years. Cats are smart and they know people and places. That says a lot about their new cat mom and dad. Our love and thanks to them both 🥰😽💙

Our post about JAY, pulled on the heartstrings of our orange cat lovers out there 🧡 so we thought we'd share a few of our other orange cats, perfectly themed for their fall adoptions! This is REDFORD, another lover boy who has been with us for just over a year. Initially he had warnings on his cage because he would hide in his carrier and lash out, but he was just a scared boy really, and he totally transformed when he was let out of his cage. Now he's a truly loyal and loving cat, who craves attention and really deserves a home. We hate to see him confined to our shed for another winter. REDFORD is FiV+, but healthy and hunky. He can be with other cats and FiV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds to other cats. Our estimate is he's around 3 to 5 years of age, and Initially he was one of five outside cats we took in, who were being fed by an adult daughter living with her parents. When she moved out and couldn't take them with her, her parents refused to feed the cats, so we trapped them and took them in.

UPDATE on JAY: This is the big orange cat we are helping who has a head full of injuries and holes! Despite his being a big cat, it looks like he got the worse end of the fight, and the wound on his chin was deep and infected the bone. We are so happy to say that so far Jay has been recovering really well, and he's so friendly he wants to be held and loved. We wonder if he once had a home, but he is not neutered, so they didn't do the right thing for him. If he's not neutered then he's not protected with Rabies vaccination or FVRCP, but luckily he tested negative for FiV and FeLV. Jay's chin swelling has gone down some and the wounds are looking so much better.

BRUCE and BILLIE are ready for their forever home. These adorable bonded brothers are 6 months old, soft as velvet, and full of kitten playfulness. They are getting bored with their kitten area as they are so full of curiosity and love to have attention and things to explore. At breakfast and dinner, they like to hang on the screen door just so we don't forget to feed them 😹 They would make wonderful family kitties, and are confident and friendly as we have had them since they were small. If you would like to come meet these bonded brothers, please fill out our ONLINE ADOPTION FORM: https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152

These two cats are with us to get medical care. The handsome orange guy was finally trapped by a resident last night with a trap we loaned them, and he has severe swelling and infection in his head. The poor guy is scared and in pain, so will need to be sedated at the vet, right now we are working on getting him fitted in with a vet, and chances are he's not fixed or vaccinated.
The other cat is a young black and white kitty called 'Moose' from a residential colony. He's is at the vet today to treat some ugly abscess wounds on his tail area. Most likely he was running from another cat or predator, and got injured and then infected. A sweeter and more loving cat you could not find. Moose will also need to be neutered and get vaccines. These cats are just two of MANY that we take in to treat and help, which is in addition to the fosters we have in our group. Please donate if you can to allow us to help cats like this. In most situations residents don't have the money to help cover costs, or can only help a little, so we usually need to cover expenses.

Recently we told you about OPI, an owned cat we helped get surgery and a leg amputation, and we also wanted to share TAMMY'S story too. Just a few months earlier in June, she also needed a rear leg amputated due to injury, and even as she was recovering she was adopted by Michelle. We knew TAMMY would heal so much better in her forever home, and be in the best cat mom hands 💙 So TAMMY is doing wonderfully, and manages to climb up to her little spot on an Octogon wall perch, while also LOVING the huge 5 star catio she gets to enjoy with her new pals. TAMMY may have lost her leg, but she has gained the best possible kitty life, and it shows how amazing cats are when it comes to thriving after an amputation. We're so grateful to Michelle for giving Tammy and the other cats she's adopted, such a great home, heaps of love, and their Happy Ever Afters.

We shared Star and Blue’s story the other day, but this video shows their sisterly love better than words ever could. These sweet girls have each other and we would love for them to find a home where they can keep growing up side by side. ❤️

Could you be the family that gives Star and Blue their happy ending? Please fill out the adoption application below. And if you can’t adopt, sharing this post could help their future family find them!

Here is the application: https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152

Our sweet, long-haired little baby, Blondie, enjoyed some well-deserved pampering today! After Blondie was all freshened up, it was her brother Cream’s turn to enjoy a little TLC! Nothing like a spa day to keep these precious babies looking and feeling their best!
