The importance of clear communication and how it applies to achieving a working mindset.

When thinking about activating a horses working mindset from the ground; it's commonly told to "move their feet" though this isn't a bad idea, breaking that instinctual mindset for yourself is the first step to diving in deeper in your communication and your ability to articulate information and direction to your horse.

We don't always offer lessons but when we do...

The fan favorite; Beta Max our OTTB is our go to! This sweet boy has come such a long way and is great for taking on nice easy rides for learning riders! Working on strengthening our core and legs as well as helping us keep in mind our outside rein and inside leg! Our new working student Abigail is a natural and matches up with Beta Max's cool and calm demeanor perfectly! We are elated for Abigail as she continues to work and progress with us! Welcome to the team!

HUGE appreciation post for this wonderful mare.
Trixie was welcomed into our program and man has she been hitting achievements at full speed!
Thanks to her wonderful owner and handler Christina Chimera 's consistency and incredible reception and interpretation of instruction and staying on top of the game; Trixie has been exceptional!

Our last session ending with us putting Trixie to the test with her rein and directional cues combined with vocal cues through a driving harness. We may be bias but this girl did AMAZING! We look forward to continuing this amazing mares education!

Reactive vs Proactive!
Our favorite golden mare, Trixie had the odds stacked against her today. Between the winds and cool weather and a sprinkle of age(3); Trixie was explosive and reactive. This was not a bad thing and in fact a GREAT learning opportunity for the day. By staying mindful and redirecting her feet in a positive direction we were able to achieve a proactive working mindset and set healthy boundaries and expectations! A powerful and meaningful session today to say the least and so very proud of Trixie and her amazing handler and owner Christina Chimera

WOW!
Lenny, this 4yr old little pony has been working in our program for roughly 3 months now and took his first ride like a champ! With the help of his wonderfully quiet and gentle demeanor and a little assistance from an appropriately sized rider from Naled it Stables this little guy didn't offer anything but a leisurely walk around all while bitless! Little Lenny will continue to work in our program and we are so excited to see him further his growth!

Huge thank you to Charlee Nale with Naled it Stables for being willing to put in a first ride for this little guy! We so appreciate you and your cooperation!

Talk about stunning!🤩 this gorgeous mare; Trixie is excelling rapidly in our program! Only a few sessions in and this sweetheart is feeling herself in western AND English equipment and is doing fantastic in desensitizing! Love seeing our young horses and ponies doing so well in the realm of start ups!

This young gelding has done truly amazing these past fews months.

First stop✈️: Tryon International Equestrian Center
Beta Max did absolutely phenomenal at the Harmon Classics holiday classics show. Placing in ALL of his classes this boy was showing in the 2'3-3' hunter under saddle rings and did absolutely incredible. He happened to dabble just a bit in the jumper ring over the weekend and placed there too! A weekend well spent going slow n steady.

Next stop✈️: Stable View Aiken
Beta max, 1 week after his Harmon Classics debut, took a trip down south for some quality time eventing. Scoring a beautiful 34.4 in his dressage, clear showjumping round, and only coming in 2 seconds late for his cross country; placing him 3rd overall in his division. He worked so well and so beautifully and did such a fantastic job with quite the switch around. This gelding can do it all.
So proud of this young man's growth and development.

After spending most of this year recovering from an Injury; our sweet mare Stella made her over fences debut at FENCE and absolutely rocked it. Bringing home a 5th and 6th in her over fence classes this ex rodeo mare stepped up to the plate and showed just how willing and easy going she truly is🤩
