Simon David John Zellin

Simon David John Zellin of Flemington, New Jersey, passed away on October 10, 2026, following a tragic motorcycle accident in Clinton Township. He was born on June 23, 1993, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and will be remembered as someone who lived life with energy, heart, and unmistakable enthusiasm.

Simon worked in warehouse logistics for Sunrun in Robbinsville, New Jersey. He was known for bringing a bold spirit to his work, his interests, and the people around him.

A natural athlete, Simon spent much of his youth playing soccer and competing in track and field. His love of action and adventure continued throughout his life. He was an avid airplane, skateboard, and motorcycle enthusiast who found freedom and excitement in the things that moved fast and captured the imagination.

Simon was a celebrated and well-loved member of the motorcycle community, where he formed lasting friendships and earned the respect of fellow riders. He was also remarkably handy and largely self-taught, with a talent for understanding how things worked and the determination to learn whatever he set his mind to. One of his proudest accomplishments was converting an old school bus into a fully functional RV, a project that showcased his creativity, ingenuity, and resourcefulness.

Those who knew Simon will remember his infectious laugh, his generous spirit, and his ability to make people feel comfortable right away. He had a gift for connecting with others and loved his family and friends deeply. Whether sharing an adventure, lending a hand, or simply spending time together, Simon made those around him feel valued and appreciated.

An animal lover, Simon cared for several dogs, snakes, spiders, and other creatures. He also enjoyed playing video games with friends, sharing laughter, camaraderie, and the simple joy of being together.

Simon is survived by his parents, Roxanne and Steven Zellin of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; his sister, Joyce Zellin of New York City; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by his loyalty, kindness, humor, and vibrant spirit. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harry and Pearl Zellin, and his maternal grandparents, Joyce and Courtland Lynch.

A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 44 Broad Street, Flemington, New Jersey 08822. A livestream will be available for those who are out of town on the Church's YouTube Channel. Immediately following the service, all are welcome to join for food and fellowship at Angelo's Restaurant on Route 31 in Flemington.

Simon's life was marked by adventure, laughter, creativity, and warmth. He embraced life fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Gino Aldo Lombardo

Gino Aldo Lombardo, was born in New York City, NY on October 6, 1929. He was the only child of Italian immigrants, Stefano and Alba (Bassanini) Lombardo. The family moved to Bridgewater, NJ in 1934. He attended Green Knoll School in Bridgewater and graduated from Somerville High School in 1948. He then attended RCA Institutes in New York, where he studied radio and television electronics and earned his first class radio license.

His first employment was in Atlantic City at radio station WMID. After a year, he began his first job in television with Dumont Television Network. After the company’s demise, he worked for META, a forerunner of public television. From there, he became chief audio engineer for Videotape Productions Center in New York, a subsidiary of 3M, manufacturer of the newest innovation in TV—videotape. He worked a number of years recording sound in both motion pictures and television in New York. He spent the last twenty-five years doing the sound for live performances of The Metropolitan Opera and Lincoln Center.

Gino married Shirley Foley in May 1959 in Bound Brook, NJ. They lived the majority of their 67 married years together in Edison, NJ and Bedminster, NJ. Gino enjoyed swing and jazz music, World War II history, and watching the American classic: Casablanca. He and his wife Shirley also enjoyed traveling. In fact, they journeyed across Europe, Asia, North and South America, Central America, New Zealand, Australia, and Northern Africa, and they proudly visited 49 out of the 50 United States.

In his retirement, his love for electronics led him to a hobby of locating, purchasing, and restoring antique jukeboxes. This led to another aligned hobby restoring antique radios. He really enjoyed the hunt and bringing the old relics back to life. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail.

His love of family was unparalleled. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Foley) Lombardo, who passed away in July of this year. He leaves daughter Lisa and her husband Chris and three grandsons: Kieran, Loughlin, and Cameron of Hillsborough, NJ, who affectionately called him "Beau".
