Imprinting is one of the most amazing parts of raising goslings. Watching that bond form during the critical early period is incredible, but it’s also a big responsibility because those early experiences shape their behavior.

People see the geese, the farm, and now this column, but what they don’t see is the person who quietly made it all possible. From the very beginning, you helped me care for them, making sure they always had what they needed.

Every lesson I’ve learned from my geese, every family that’s welcomed one into their home, and every word I write in this column traces back to you.

They’ve become so much more than geese. They’ve become part of our family’s story.
