☀️ Summer Safety Fundraiser Update ☀️
I have some amazing news to share this morning!
Not only have you already helped us raise $495, but a generous supporter has stepped forward to offer a $2,500 matching donation. 🥹
That means every dollar donated, up to $2,500, will be doubled, bringing us halfway to our goal and making an enormous impact for the animals in our care. ❤️
The permanent shade structure will be concreted into the ground with a metal roof, providing consistent shade protection for years to come.
We're also raising funds to bring electricity into our barn so that every stall can have its own fan. This upgrade will allow us to create a temperature-controlled medical stall for emergencies and provide a safer, more comfortable environment for our residents year-round.
These are major, permanent improvements that will help us navigate the intense summer heat more safely, for both the animals and the humans who care for them.
As a small grassroots sanctuary, we rely entirely on the support of our community to provide the highest level of care possible.
Because of your generosity over the past year, we've been able to:
• Install concrete pads to help combat mud
• Build a brand-new shelter
• Purchase a tractor
• Pay off the final remaining pig shed loan
• Maintain a $0 balance with our veterinary team
• Cover countless feed, supply, and care expenses
There is always so much happening behind the scenes, and the costs of running a sanctuary never stop. Every improvement, every medical bill, every bag of feed, and every safe place to rest exists because people like you choose to help.
Figgy Farm is proudly debt-free, and we'd like to keep it that way while continuing to invest in the safety and wellbeing of our residents.
