PLEASE TAG your PETS...NOW!

So many pets will die and get lost tonight. I have a Lost and Found page and I can't tell you how many times I hear, "I never thought they would" July 5th.

Even if your dog/cat has a microchip, ADD the temporary tag with your phone #. The shelters are closed (some until Tuesday). Pets are found in the middle of the night, early morning, and in groups and people don't want/can't spend their holiday weekend wrestling with your lost dog to see if they MIGHT have a chip. Your # on them is the fastest way to reunite you.

People need to realize that nothing is open and that is very difficult for some people to find a place open, handle and transport a strange/scared dog or two in their cars. Then, if they get nothing, there is no where/one to take them. They are expected to hold them until you are found. Which is super frustrating for someone who was just trying to help. And frustrated people MIGHT be unkind.

So, put your phone # and name on them. IF they get lost, post and share on social media sites right away and put signs up!
