SO THANKFUL that I was in the right spot at the right time.

On my way to work yesterday, I happened to be passing one of our FIPS Family member’s home. I spotted a certain someone where he wasn’t supposed to be. I quickly tried reaching out to his owner but she was getting ready for work and didn’t have her phone next to her. I couldn’t not make sure that he was safe and secure so I turned around once it was safe to do so and headed back. This silly boy was several houses down by time I got back but because of the relationship we have built, it took me calling his name one time and him seeing me and he came running. We believe a neighborhood kid walked through to the creek behind their home and messed with the gate. His owner had zero clue it was wide open. Had I left for work a minute sooner or minute later there may have been a less positive outcome.

Use this as a reminder to always check your fence gates - especially if you have people that service your yards/pools, etc. I can say I’ve had it personally happen with my dogs as well in the past. You just don’t think about checking the gates when you assume they are secure like they should be. I’ve even had it happen with client’s pets. Please let your pet sitter know if you have someone who services your yard on a certain day so they can ensure the gate is relatched properly so your fur babies stay safely in your back yard!

It really is so much fun visiting homes with multiple kitties. Every single one of them has a different personality but they all work together somehow. Laid back, super lovely, shy, bold, welcoming, happy, skiddish - I love them all 🩵🩷🩵🩵

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Mia, Sky and Luna this past week. They are full of so much spunkiness! You can’t help but be energized by them.

Praying Mal’i is found safe 🙏

HELP FIND MAL'I 🐾 Military veteran Scott Baker is asking the community to help track down his lost service dog, Mal'i. She ran off after a hit-and-run on May 23 near the Cinemark on Atlantic Boulevard. Baker is from out of town, and Mal'i is likely injured and is not familiar with the area.
