Happy !! For this week's Ingles Pet of the Week - we'd love for you to meet CARNEY!

This sweet girl is a 1.5 year old terrier mix - with quite possibly some of the cutest ears we've ever seen! Carney is all about the love & would make the perfect cuddle bug for her future forever home. She also does have great leash manners and doesn't go too far ahead, constantly checking behind her for you. Her favorite things include curling by your side and watching the sunset with her favorite person!

Carney is a very mellow and gentle soul and we know that her perfect person is out there!! If you're interested in her please come by Greenville County Animal Care Mon-Sat 12-5

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I saw the dog in question days ago. I also saw the 30 dogs in rescue and empty bank account.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I looked at her sad brown eyes and sighed. And scraped the bottom of the food bag as I fed the dogs I already had.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
I could see she was thin and was losing hair. And was she holding her foot up? I looked at the enormous vet bill and wondered what the vet would say if I brought in another dog.

Somebody do Something "they" said.
And so I sent an email saying I would take her. And laid awake wondering where I would put her. And how would she fit in. And how was I ever going to find homes for them all?

Somebody do Something "they" said.
And tonight "they" will spend time with their families and friends. "They" won't be up 2 hours early to feed and walk the unwanted. "They" won't try to come up with new and novel ways to market, place, and fund the dogs.

"We" will. The rescuers. The shelter personnel. The transporters. The ones who donate time and money. We will lose sleep. And cry over the ones we can't save. And rejoice in the ones we can save. We will pull our hair out and swear we are done. And then tomorrow we will do it again. Because rescue touches our souls. It is an itch that can't be scratched. It's an addiction. But as I lay here with six dogs surrounding me, I have no regrets.

Somebody do Something "they" said. I did something. Did you?

Smokey has been in our care since May…that’s 6 months in foster, which is far too long for this young pup!

He is easily excited and hyper-intelligent, so keeping him busy will be a must both physically and mentally.

His ideal home would have a fenced in yard with patient pawrents who are willing to train him, which he would be all ears for!

It is our wish for Smokey to find his forever home for the howlidays, so can you help us make that happen?!

You can learn more about him at MPRAVL.org and please share this post if you are able!
