This page is not our rescue's main page, it is only a simple way for people to see what is involved in being a volunteer for EHR and part of the kennel enrichment team, while also showing off some amazingly adoptable dogs. We, as volunteers, love every second we have to spend with the goofy and fun-loving babies of Eleventh Hour Rescue's kennel. Meet Peppercorn!

Peppercorn is an adorable 7-month-old, 34 lb boy rescued from Texas with such a unique look! He’s your typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone and everything he meets. He’s friendly, fun, outgoing, and always ready to play or soak up some attention. Peppercorn joined his first pack walk yesterday and had a blast meeting and playing with other pups.

Peppercorn also tested well with cats at the shelter, although he has never lived with one. He’s a great young pup looking for a family to continue showing him just how good life can be!

Peppercorn is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $415.

The pups featured here are our kennel kids who will be in attendance. Their favorite flavor would be a foster OR adopter to take them home (ok, maybe a pup cup, too) 🫠🍨. There will be some dogs already in foster attending as well.

Sweet as chocolate! 🍫

Meet Kay Kyser! Kay Kyser is a beautiful 2-year-old chocolate Lab mix rescued from Texas. She is such a sweet girl with a mellow, easygoing personality. She’s not overly hyper, walks extremely well on leash, and does great with other dogs. She joined Henna on a pack walk last night and they became fast friends. 💜

Kay Kyser also tested well with cats at the sending shelter, although she has never lived with one. She’s a friendly, lovable girl who would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a laid-back companion.

Kay Kyser is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $415.

Where are our small dog lovers?? 🐕

Meet Toby, a handsome 6-year-old, 20-pound Pomeranian with a heart as plush and warm as his gorgeous red coat. This charming gentleman made the trip from Mountain City, Tennessee, all the way to Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey, and he is ready to start his next chapter with a forever family to call his own. Toby is a sweet, friendly fellow who is past the wild puppy phase and ready to settle into a comfortable daily routine. He walks wonderfully on a leash, making neighborhood strolls an absolute pleasure, and gets along well with other dogs. Toby has also been tested with cats and, with patient and proper introductions, is expected to do just fine sharing a home with a feline friend. At a sturdy 20 pounds, he is the ideal size for both lap cuddles and outdoor adventures. He does have a classic spunky Pomeranian personality when it comes to grooming around his back end, so he appreciates a gentle, patient touch during brush time.

Toby is heartworm negative, up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and ready to fill your home with loyal companionship, happy tail wags, and plenty of southern charm. To meet Toby and make him a part of your family, submit an adoption application through Eleventh Hour Rescue at ehrdogs.org!

Happy Husky needs a home!🐶🐾

But seriously, is there any other kind of Husky?😄

This is Kevin….an almost 2 year old Husky weighing in at around 60 pounds. Everyone who meets Kevin, loves Kevin!😍. He is the type of dog that will follow you to the ends of the earth and keep you entertained the entire trip! Kevin loves to play and sing the songs of his ancestors, but he is also a sweetheart of a dog that loves being close to his people. He is stunning, with his tri-colored coat paired with his one blue and one brown eye, and he gets along with everyone he meets, dogs included. Kevin is smart, treat motivated and walks pretty well on leash. Be the envy of your block by making this wonderful dog your own!🏡

Meet Shadow, a big, beautiful black Lab mix who tips the scales at a solid 90 lbs. This 10 year-old gentleman is not just strong in stature but also strong in heart, winning over many of our volunteers and staff members with his personality. Shadow previously shared his home with a beloved senior dog and two cats, thriving in their company until sadly, the loss of his canine friend left him feeling a bit lost. He began acting out and his family returned him to our care. Shadow has a protective nature, making him an excellent watchdog who forms strong bonds with his people. However, due to his strength and size, he would thrive best in an adults-only home where he can be the big, lovable guardian. A true water enthusiast, Shadow adores any form of water play. Whether he's diving into ponds at the park like a youthful pup or chilling in a kiddie pool during the warm months, he's happiest when he can splash around. Not to mention, Shadow is an avid fan of fetch, he'll keep the game going all day if you’re up for the challenge! Shadow loves his car rides and park visits with volunteer friends, making the most of every outing away from the kennel. He has been with us for quite some time now and truly misses the comforts of a home environment. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who comes with a bit of humor and a lot of heart, Shadow might just be the perfect fit. Happy birthday Dodger! 🥳🎉🎈

Last week, Dodger celebrated his birthday while on a visit to the kennel from his foster home. Staff member Jackie made sure he had a nice day out and felt loved on his special day, despite not being with his foster mom (who is currently away). Although Dodger is lucky to be in a foster home, he would still love his FOREVER home to come before his next birthday. Read more about him:

Say hello to Dodger, the 6-year-old, 52-pound bundle of joy with ears that could catch the wind! Dodger’s charming personality and goofy antics are sure to steal your heart in an instant. He’s an affectionate, intelligent, and playful pup who loves nothing more than spending time with his favorite people – could that be you? Dodger’s journey hasn’t been easy. Abandoned by his previous owner who had moved away, Dodger was left in a crowded shelter and was at risk of being euthanized due to space limitations. But his story took a turn for the better when he found a loving foster home where he blossomed into the sweet, obedient, eager to please dog he is today. When it comes to Dodger’s favorite things, he’s all about tummy rubs, rolling in the grass, and long walks. Car rides? He’s there for them, tail wagging in excitement. Dodger is also great with toys and is known to be a lap pet who will happily curl up with you after a fun day of play. His goofy side will keep you smiling, and his loyalty will keep you feeling loved and cherished. Puppy Alert! 🐶

Millie SCAS is a sweet 8-9 month old girl weighing 45 lbs. Sadly, her start to life was far from what any puppy deserves. Millie was rescued from a hoarding situation in Tennessee where she was living with many other animals. Thankfully, authorities stepped in, removed the animals from the home, and Millie was finally given the chance at a better life.

Despite everything she has been through, Millie is a playful, happy and loving girl who is ready to put her past behind her. What she needs now is a family who will show her all the love, comfort, and security she should have had from the beginning. She has so much life ahead of her and deserves to finally know what it feels like to be someone's beloved family member.

Meet Amarillo!

Amarillo is a 2-year-old, 59 lb handsome boy with the cutest speckled nose! This happy, friendly guy has a great personality and loves everyone he meets. He’s very playful, affectionate, loves having fun, and does great with other dogs. Some of his recent favorite sport activities include soccer and chasing tennis balls! ⚽️🎾

Amarillo also tested well with cats at the shelter, although he has never actually lived with one. If you have a feline friend, a proper slow introduction would be required. He’s an all-around great boy who would love a family to call his own!

Someone come scoop this boy up ASAP!💙
