So far, 600’ of used and abused fencing has been replaced with these super rugged, massively heavy 5’ tall by 16’ in length panels…. Each panel has 2”x 4” openings to prevent climbing and if these panels curl then it’s because we are giving sanctuary to a Sasquatch. Each weighs almost 100 lbs. Overkill? We think not. From our tall friends leaning over and smooshing down fencing to those who curl it up to get at growth on the other side. Branches falling, rubbing along the fence to shed hair or just scratch an itch. To keep the sanctuary residents honest and wildlife as well. This major upgrade and costly project will last a good long time (it better, right?!).
Over the years, populations of the many species we care for change and as we work towards more rotational paddocks/ pastures, fencing needs to suite all types and sizes. Our hope is that by upgrading these areas we can ensure everyone for years to follow will be safe, secure and happy! We still have about 400’ to go to reach our 2026 goal. Let’s hope we can get it done before the ground freezes 🤞
