Hello! This little sweet lady is named Lilly, and she is looking for her forever family. She is staying with me in the Madison area until we can get her settled into her new home. Please share this post, and contact me if you'd like to meet her! [email protected]
Female: Age: 6 | Italian Greyhound/Chihuahua | Spayed | Up-to-date on vaccinations
Personality
I am a cautious gal at first. It takes me time to feel comfortable with new people, and I'm good in a household without children. I am cozy in my crate- I can disappear under a blanket faster than you can close my crate door, and I enjoy time on the couch with you as long as I'm not startled. I am eager, persistent, and fun to train! I can jump like a circus dog and will convince you to share your human snacks with me. I am fun and entertaining. I like to chew on things, like my rubber bone toy. I may be small, but I can beat up a big plush toy like I belong in a jungle! I enjoy going for walks, hikes, and sniffing around. I like to find a nice spot in the sun to nap. Even though I get scared if I feel rushed into a physical interaction, I'm quite affectionate and a good snuggler once we get used to each other. Once you learn my tendencies and limits, I'm really easy to live with!
Other Animals:
Cats okay. No female dogs, or large male dogs. I was attacked by my big sister, and have been separated from her for my safety.
Medical History
Up to date medically. Will need routine nail trims every few weeks.
Ideal Home:
Single family home with fenced in yard. No apartment buildings. Fine with cats. No large dogs. No female dogs. Okay with socially appropriate male dogs under 30 lbs. I will do best in a home where the people can allow me the time I need to warm up to them. I am sensitive to social pressure and to being pet or picked up before I'm ready. I will thrive in a home where consent and patience is practiced.
Light brown and white. Less than 20 #, long-legged! Cutest face.
Other Information
My original owner passed away. I have been evaluated by a professional behaviorist, and have had training to assist with my placement. I come with food, medication, toys, coats, beds etc. All I will need is a crate and a name tag!
I'd be grateful for any shares of this post
