Before your pup heads out for a walk, try the 5 second test! 🐾
Place the back of your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for your pet’s paws.

Hot pavement can cause painful burns in just minutes — even when the air temperature doesn’t seem that high. 🥵

🔥 Tips to keep pets safe:
• Walk early in the morning or later in the evening
• Stick to grass or shaded paths when possible
• Bring water on walks
• Watch for signs of burned paws like limping or licking feet
