This lovely note was left in my little library yesterday and I wanted to share. She stuffed the library with some pretty great books, so come on by and take a look. There are also some free items outside of the library that anybody is free to take.

Gifted

This is my old library and before I throw it out I wanted to see if anybody was interested in having it. It just needs to be weatherized. But it can’t be used as is or the books will get ruined. It was taking on ants and water from the weather. So, if there’s anyone who’s handy and was wanting to have a little library now is your chance. You can either send me a message or comment below.

We are officially back up and running! This is solely thanks to Cara Arsenault Dunbar. Cara gifted this little free library to me. Her daughter made this library and six others that she put in parks throughout Fitchburg. There are a few touches that it still needs. I’d like to add a latch to the door. It needs a little more paint which Cara also gave me. I just need to get a brush and paint that little spot on the left-hand side. And maybe add some silicone in a couple places, but it is up and open. So please come on by. Take some books, leave some books. So happy to have a Little Free Library again.

I have somebody who is offering to donate a new library. I am hoping to get it soon so I can reopen in time for the nice weather. So stay tuned….

I have closed the library on Appleton Circle for the near future. At least through the winter and possibly beyond. Unfortunately, the library is not holding up in the weather. It needs a new roof and it just wasn’t made for the New England weather. I bought the library through a local man who was making them and it’s lasted me a few years but not for the long-term. Unfortunately, the libraries through Little Free Library are quite pricey, and I just am not in a place to buy one right now. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
