When you can't locate your harvest and you're eager to get one of us there with our thermal drone to help locate, these photos dictate why we prefer night/early morning operations. Barring an overcast or rainy day, once the bright sun is out and objects such as trees, rocks, stumps, bare spots, etc start absorbing heat, locating the target heat signature becomes more difficult. The first photo is a mid-morning screenshot clearly displaying trees/limbs and ground surfaces already radiating heat (white/red tints). The 2nd photo is an expired 8pt buck an hour before sunrise. Place that same heat signature in the first photo and you can imagine how difficult it can be at times on bright sunny days. Our goal is to locate your harvest and want to assure the circumstances and conditions provide the best opportunity to make that happen! Stays safe out there and we wish you lots of success! 🦌

It's time! We wish you all a safe and successful season. If you need assistance, reach out to the individual operator in your area. See our featured or pinned posts for our map. And don't forget to take that photo and enter it into our Big Buck Contest! Best of luck, stay safe!
