With flooding/standing water we’ll see a large increase in mosquitoes over the coming days/weeks. Please make sure your pets have an up to date heartworm test and take their flea/tick/heartworm prevention regularly.

Mosquitoes are the only way heartworms are naturally transmitted from one animal to another. Heartworms are *almost* 100% preventable with testing and veterinarian recommended prevention. 🦟

Some people use the Empire State Building for declarations of love... we're using it for something even more important:

📢 PROTECT YOUR PETS BEFORE JULY 4TH.

🐾 Talk to your dogtor about anxiety medications if your pet struggles with loud noises.
🏷️ Make sure your pet's microchip information is up to date in case they become startled and escape.
📺 Turn on the TV, music, or a fan to help muffle the sound of fireworks.
🏡 Keep your pets safely indoors before the fireworks begin - even fenced yards aren't escape-proof when fear takes over.

All VetCheck locations will be open July 4th from 9 AM–6 PM if you need help creating a plan to keep your pet safe, calm, and comfortable this holiday. ❤️🐾

We're just 5 days away from celebrating America's 250th birthday! 🎆

As exciting as fireworks are for us, they can be incredibly stressful for our pets.

We're open Monday through Friday until 11:00 PM and Saturday, July 4, from 9:00 AM–6:00 PM if your pet needs anxiety medication or you're looking for guidance before the fireworks begin.

A little preparation today can make a big difference this Fourth of July. ❤️🐾
