Well, we need a new name 🤷‍♀️. Hope is a Henry 😁🐈😸 It's taken a bit to get him to settle enough to check. So, aside from Charity, who has moved back to her barn, the other 4 have accepted him. He was younger than 6 weeks when we found him. He was climbing up under my hair and trying to nurse. But, he's happy with his wet kitten food and milk supplement. He can easily go in and out of the window to follow the girls, but stays mainly inside on his furry bed. So, I've been taking him out and letting him play in the yard. He follows me everywhere so I have to watch that I don't step on him. He's still an itty bitty

What should we name him?

At feeding time we bring in the older mustang mares to assure they get enough nutrition and supplements to keep them healthy. They are all over 20, Zena close to 30, so making sure they eat more than rolling their hay due to lack of teeth is vital. When the last one is done a simple "ready girls?" and the line forms. 🥰

Just like human kids, my kids push the boundaries. When I'm cooking the dogs have to be out 3 the kitchen. This is their version. Brats!!! Bubba (front, far left) is their guy. What he does and where he goes, the 3 girls follow.

You've met Charity, the tortie that found her way to our rescue after surviving predators and living on what she could. I treated her mange and she now has a warm bed in the "Girl's Room," eats with Bebe and Abby, and heads out the window to check things out during the day and is secured at night.

Meet Hope. I let the dogs out in the front property every morning while I have coffee. A couple days ago they were after something at our flatbed trailer. We have a couple pieces of metal we need to put up on the barn and I figured they had a rat they were after. A norm. But, when I checked these huge scared eyes were staring at me. I rushed the dogs back to the house and got Tom. Together we managed to convince this itty bitty she was safe. People throw their cats out on the road in front of our house. Abby was the last one I took in.

Hope was starving. Fortunately, I keep supplies on hand and had kitten milk for her. After she finished a bowl of that, and some wet food she found her place and claimed one of the big fury beds. So, we have welcomed 2 more into our family. The older girls walk around her but Charity isn't too happy. She was like, "what the heck."
