Horse has to be social in herd and without shoes. (We help to transition horses out of shoes).

Drama free and encouraging barn. Horse centered approach. We are looking for like minded people.

Some horses just fit in perfectly. Pony was able to get in all the way with the herd after only two days. She likes her new home.

And our herd keeps growing. Another sweet six year old mare that seems to settle in quite well. ❤️

The rain is here and field time is coming to an end soon. But our horses keep moving. It seems as if they’re eating double the amount to grow their coats right now. I am glad we can ensure movement and happy herd life during the wet months as well.

Although they have enough shelter our horses use them rarely right now and mostly move from feeding station to feeding station. We built them with roofs so they can mostly stand dry.

Because our horses get out of mud and ammonia, hoof growth is fast with movement and counter pressure of footing - we don’t have to deal with thrush. This works because hooves growth is faster than bacterial growth. Fun fact: Healthy hooves produce a secret in frog that defends it from bacterial intruders.

Still in Germany with family but done with schooling. I had a very educational time. Three lessons with Manuel and two with the great Sarah Leitner at Oliveira Stables in Germany. I had a really talented young mare called Noah that was a lot of fun to work with. It is so wonderful when riding turns into dancing and lightness. Manuel found pretty good words for it. He says that horses give us the wings we don’t have, moments feel like we are in a different universe. I am super motivated to take my knowledge back home and work with my partners (horses) and students. ❤️

Last track improvements before the rainy season to ensure no mud. This way the herd can continue moving 24/7 when we close the fields to maintain field health.
