I am super proud of both Calistas and Ty’s development. Calista learned a lot of new things and trusted the process. Now she’s able to ride a horse that did not use to be easy. Ty has learned a lot as well. Being an ex race horse the school movements and side movements helped a lot to restart him. He’s much more flexible and getting more and more into his balance day by day.

We are improving the last old fence parts on the track. Putting family to work 😘 Thanks Hunter! Now it’s gonna be bomb proof and safe also for little guys. The horses as always are in on the action 😅

Integration was successful. Three days ago our yearling went out with the herd all the way. Ever since she’s been led around by the older mares and plays with the 3 year old gelding. It could not have been better.

Norman is a 22 year old Spanish-Norman horse that sat for 3 years. He became a little too pushy for the owner to ride and hard to handle. I think he just did not want to retire yet. He’s with us for a refresher and is acting really civil and motivated. This was the first ride yesterday. I have to help his neck so the pole is the highest point for him to gain strength to carry himself. If I let his head get low, he runs right into the ground. Which is not only hard for me to handle but also for him, because he has my weight on forehand too.

Integration takes a while. Yesterday was already pretty good and today is even better. As of now Valencia is still outside moving around with the herd. Over night she’ll go in her area and soon she’s all free. She’s doing a great job reading the other horses and making it clear she’s just a yearling and has no big intentions to take over anything.

Today’s moments of Ty’s progress. He’s a five year old OTTB. He is getting more and more mobile and is allowed to use his neck to balance himself. That is more important to me than a pretty frame. His neck forms last when he is physically ready and strong enough.

Valencia’s integration into the herd started yesterday. She is in an area within the track until everything is relaxed. Then she gets to move In all the way. Today she met the big boss lady Rockette on an extra field. We sat and watched. It went really well.

Our OTTB Ty is 5 years old and slowly growing up under saddle.
We are working on mobility right now. Coming from the racetrack he was stiff as a board. The dancer starts to appear now more and more. ❤️
