Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

This week, October 18–24, we are proud to recognize and celebrate our two incredible Veterinary Technicians here at Nassau County Animal Services!

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) has dedicated this year's celebration to the theme of “Endless Compassion, Expert Care,” recognizing the knowledge, dedication, and compassion Veterinary Technicians bring to animal care every day.

Our two Veterinary Technicians are so much more than the medical care they provide. They are comforting hands during frightening moments, advocates for animals who cannot speak for themselves, and a vital part of giving the animals in our care a second chance.

Shelter medicine is not always easy, and much of their hard work happens behind the scenes. Their patience, dedication, and unwavering compassion make a difference in countless lives.

To our two amazing Veterinary Technicians: thank you for the long days, the difficult moments, the lives you help save, and the love you give so freely. We are incredibly grateful to have you on our team.

We’re located at 86078 License Road, Fernandina Beach, FL, next to the DMV.

Shelter Hours:
• Tuesday, Thursday–Sunday: 11 AM – 4 PM
• Wednesday: 1 PM – 6 PM
