Reminder that our office will be CLOSED Monday September 7th for Labor Day. Dr. Felland is out all next week for a vacation we required for him😆, but we will be here most of the week for medication and food refills, nail trims or technician appointments. Have a safe and relaxing weekend!

Kennel cough is on the rise this time of year. We have seen several cases so far, so we wanted to put out some education and advice to help you prevent your pets from contracting it.

Kennel cough is a highly contagious virus. It is spread through casual contact like nose to nose sniffs, play time, or sharing water bowls. The Bordetella vaccine will help reduce the risk but is not a 100% guaranteed prevention. If you have a young puppy or geriatric pet, it is best to keep them away from high populated dog areas like dog parks, daycares, or boarding facilities if able during this time of year.

Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after petting another dog before touching your own dog. If your dog is experiencing symptoms of coughing, nasal or eye discharge, lethargy, lack of appetite, call us to have them checked out. Often times your pet will recover well, sometimes a cough suppressant is dispensed to help coughing symptoms and in rare cases an antibiotic is required.

Exciting things!

We have added in laser therapy at our clinic! Laser therapy targets damaged cells and helps regeneration. This drug free and most importantly side effect free treatment can be used without additional treatment or in conjunction to a treatment plan. From skin wounds, hot spots, ear infections, to internal issues like urinary tract disorders, post operation incision care, or arthritis we can help! We are so excited to be able to offer this great service! Below is a patient receiving a treatment on a leg wound. Being that this is a laser, for your safety we will take your pet to a different area to perform this task. Todd is modeling the special goggles we have for our patients too!

Important dates to consider next month. We are sending Dr. Felland on a respectively earned vacation! He will be out of office September 7th through the 11th. Our office will be CLOSED September 7th for Labor day and September 11th for 9/11. The schedule that week is listed below. Thank you for your kindness and understanding as Dr. Felland RARELY takes a sick day or personal holiday.

Good morning Dr. Felland has called in sick today so we will be rescheduling appointments for the day. We plan to hang out until lunch time to help with phone calls or medication refills. Thank you for your understanding.
