We're sad to report that one of our little girls didn't make it. She was the last born, needed resuscitation and it took her longer to pink up than we would have liked. She seemed to be doing good, but had some neurological signs. Unfortunately these things happen especially when inbreeding is a likely factor. The good news is: Everyone else seems to be doing very well! Only two of our girls need extra attention and supplementing because daily weights aren't showing what we'd expect. Everyone else is plumping up wonderfully. Mama is also being treated for early mastitis due to a couple inoperable pumps.

All 10 puppies are doing amazing today! So far we've been able to raise $250 but we're a long way from covering care and vet costs (both past and future). Thank you to Team Chamberlain Trilogy Real Estate for sponsoring yesterday's needs! We plan to give puppies an Embark test so we can find out officially what breeds contribute to their awesomeness.

Also: Someone pointed out the heart in this picture as these sweet babies nursed and after a looong day I went to bed feeling all of that love.

Maggie is amazing. She's tired but she's doing great. We have 10 chunky little monkeys and hopefully that's it. If you want to help Maggie and her babies (4 girls, 6 boys), let us know 💕

Exciting Day for Soapy Puppy!

A little back story: One of our cherished clients discovered a mother and son on her parent's property and immediately tried to locate the owners (to no avail). After a few days of having them come and go, they discovered the son had passed and took the mother in. With a 3 week trip coming up, they reached out to us for care. They updated her vaccinations and well check and are considering giving her a furever home.

BUT...a couple days into her stay here, we discovered that she was pregnant. We thought we had a little time to prepare and move her to the house, but she surprised our kennel manager with 5 puppies this morning.

And now there are 8. Maybe more (she's resting nicely right now).

This is where you come in! Rescue work is hard, expensive, time consuming work. This is an expense both the kind person who took her in and our staff didn't expect. Any help you're willing to offer would be wonderful! We'll need Purina One Healthy Puppy both dry and wet (she needs to be switched immediately), gift cards for supplemental care, puppy pads and monetary support for other supplies and vet care.
