Halloween chocolate is already finding its way into candy bowls, kitchen cabinets, backpacks, and shopping bags. 🎃🍫🐾

Our pets noticed! Pets eating chocolate can lead to vomiting, rapid heart rate, tremors, seizures, and other complications.

Pets should not eat any type of chocolate, especially dark.

Keep candy inside a closed cabinet or pet-proof container—not simply on a high counter. If your pet gets into chocolate, save the packaging and contact your veterinarian, a pet poison-control service, or a veterinary emergency hospital immediately. Don’t wait for symptoms or try to induce vomiting without professional guidance.

Not every stressed dog needs another mile of running.

Sometimes the better outlet is something slower: licking, chewing, sniffing, searching or safely tearing something apart.

Sniffing and foraging give dogs a chance to use one of their strongest senses. Food toys and lick mats can keep them occupied, while appropriate chew items give the mouth something constructive to do.

Some dogs also love supervised shredding activities using dog-safe cardboard or paper. Just make sure they aren’t swallowing pieces, and skip it entirely if your dog tends to eat non-food objects.

The goal isn’t simply to make a dog tired. It’s to give their brain and natural behaviors somewhere appropriate to go.
