Sophie’s Friends’ Petsitting LLC, is named after Sophie who was Toni’s special friend who bravely battled cancer and passed away in 2013. Toni is currently VP and Foster for Pitties & Purrs Rescue, Inc, a foster based Pitbull and Cat rescue in Baltimore, MD. Toni is currently the caretaker of a 1 rescue dog, 1 foster dog and 3 rescued cats. Toni has experience with both small and large dogs as well as cats who have presented with a variety of health & medical conditions as well as behavioral concerns. Toni also cares for small caged pets, exotics, birds and Hobby Farms. Toni holds the designation of CPPS-Certified Professional Pet Sitter, a Certification in Professional Petsitting LLC, Red Cross Pet First Aid and has completed various Pet Care & behavior courses, including Animal Psychology and Physical Therapy. Toni has also completed COVID-19 Certification for Professional Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers, FEMA Disaster Planning training and is a Reiki Practitioner. ​Long before he was a decorated hero, Stubby was a homeless stray wandering the streets of New Haven, Connecticut. His life changed forever when he wandered onto the training grounds of Yale Field and met a young soldier who welcomed him into his life.

​Every rescue dog has a story waiting to unfold. While they might not all go on historic journeys across the sea, they bring a quiet kind of heroism into our homes every single day. Their loyalty, affection, and ability to adapt remind us of the incredible potential inside every shelter animal!
