Happy Friday!

Our pet of the week is miss Cookie! She is a 6 year old lionhead mix. Mom says her favorite foods are carrot and celery leaves. She also enjoys playing with her toy cups around the house which she gets total free range of. Cookie also has a sibling who is a cat! They get along fine as siblings do.

The temperature is heating up quick and Summer is in full swing!

If you find that your home or the outdoors is too hot for your pet, we recommend finding an indoor facility where you can both cool off. Sometimes this is a pet-friendly community center or even a retail store (PetSmart/Petco). Other times you can find local indoor doggy daycares that offer a climate controlled environment, such as Wet Noses Dry Paws in Tacoma.
A tip for keeping your home cool during the day is to open windows at night to let in fresh cool air, and to close the window and blinds during the day to keep the coolness in and the heat out.
