This sweet girl was found by some Good Samaritan’s at Babcock State Park over the weekend. She unfortunately isn’t chipped and had no collar or tags. If yours, please reach out to us and we can get you in contact with her finders!

Special Shout-Out to Miss Destiny & Sage! 💕🐾

A very special shout-out to Miss Destiny and her friend, Sage (not pictured)!

Destiny and Sage have a passion for making squishies, and they decided to turn their creativity and talent into something truly special. They made squishies to sell and raise money for the Fayette County Animal Shelter! How amazing are these young ladies?! 🥰

Our hearts are so full knowing they chose to give their time and put aside time with friends, family, and playing to help their local animal shelter. Their kindness, compassion, and generosity are such a wonderful example of what it means to step up and help your community—especially during a time of need.

Thank you, Destiny and Sage, for your compassionate hearts and your incredible drive to help! ❤️🐾 We are so grateful for you both!

This intact shepherd boy was found across from Charlie’s pub in Fayetteville, WV. He has an orange collar with a broken clasp making us think he’s slipped from his runner. He unfortunately isn’t chipped. If yours please contact us and we can get you in contact with the finders.

What a great day!

The Fayette County Animal Shelter is incredibly grateful to Clint Ganus and his team from the ASPCA for stepping in during our time of need. Thanks to their help, all 16 of our cats were safely transported and relocated to a facility in Columbus, Ohio.

As many of you may have seen or heard, the bridge providing access to our shelter was washed away during the recent flooding. It was our only access point, and with additional storms in the forecast, our greatest concern was making sure our cats were safely out of the flood zone. Thanks to the ASPCA stepping in to help, we no longer have to worry about their safety.

In addition to helping us relocate our cats, we joined Clint Ganus of ASPCA in visiting communities that were severely devastated by the floods on Sunday, August 16. We delivered pet food, listened to residents' concerns, and learned more about how we can best support them and their animals during this difficult time.

Shout out to Robson Freewill Baptist & James Bowles for stepping up to help their communities!!

Although our shelter is temporarily closed, our small but dedicated team remains committed to serving our community and helping our neighbors in any way we can.

We are so thankful for the outpouring of support, compassion, and partnership. In times like these, it truly takes a community—and we are blessed to be surrounded by one. ❤️🐾

🐾 A SUPER EARLY MORNING FULL OF DOGGIES & FREEDOM! 🐾

We can’t thank everyone enough who stepped up to help us with our van situation! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to our amazing rescue partner for pulling from us during our time of need, and to Mary Fowler, one of our wonderful volunteers, who stepped in at the last minute to drive all of our sweet babies to their freedom destination! 🚐🐶💕

It truly takes a village, and we are so incredibly grateful for every single person who steps up when we need it most. Our staff and animals appreciate each and every one of you more than you know!
