This new system is designed to make caring for your pets and communicating with our team easier, faster, and more convenient. We’re excited about everything it will allow us to offer our clients and patients!

🐶🐱 But with anything new… there may be a few hiccups along the way!

As our CAH Crew learns the new system and works through any glitches, wait times may be a little longer than usual. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding while we get everything up and running.

🐾 Labor Day Weekend Hours 🐾🇺🇸

Just a friendly reminder from your CAH Crew!

🐶 Next week: We will have our normal business hours, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM.

🇺🇸 Labor Day Weekend: We will be CLOSED Saturday, September 5th through Monday, September 7th so our team can enjoy the holiday weekend with their families.

🐾 We will reopen Tuesday, September 8th at 7:30 AM and resume normal business hours.

Please be sure to plan ahead for any medication or food refills your fur babies may need before the long weekend!

💙 So Proud of Our CAH Crew 💙

This weekend reminded us just how special our team truly is.

At CAH, we don’t normally offer weekend hospitalization. But when we had some very sick patients who needed continued care, our incredible crew didn’t hesitate. Team members volunteered to give up their weekend and work rotations, making sure these pets received the medications, monitoring, comfort, and love they needed.

No one had to ask them to care more. They simply stepped up because that’s who they are. ❤️

Working in veterinary medicine is so much more than a job. It means loving animals that aren’t your own, worrying about them after you leave the clinic, celebrating their improvements, and sometimes giving up your personal time because a patient still needs you.

To our CAH crew: THANK YOU. Thank you for your dedication, your compassion, your teamwork, and for always putting our patients first. We are incredibly proud of the heart you bring to this clinic every single day.

And to the families who trusted us with their very sick furry family members this weekend—thank you for allowing us to care for them. 🐾❤️

Sometimes the biggest difference is made by people who simply say, “I’ll be there.”

And this weekend, our CAH crew did exactly that. 💙🐾

Cornerstone Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Previous veterinary experience is preferred, but not required — we are willing to train the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine love for animals and helping people.

What We’re Looking For:
• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and team-oriented
• Comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Veterinary or animal-care experience is a plus!

Starting Pay: $15.00–$17.00/hour, based on experience

⭐ 90-Day Opportunity: Performance and pay will be reviewed after the first 90 days, with the potential for a raise based on performance, reliability, skills, and overall job growth.

🎒📚🐾 BACK TO SCHOOL = BACK TO ROUTINE! 🐾📚🎒

The kids are headed back to school… which means the house is about to get A LOT quieter! 😂

And your pets are probably thinking:

🐶 “Wait… where did everybody go?”
🐱 “You’re leaving AGAIN?”
🐾 “Excuse me… who is going to entertain ME all day?!”

As everyone gets back into the school-year routine, don’t forget about your four-legged family members! ❤️

✨ A few back-to-school reminders from the CAH Crew:

📅 Get pets back on their normal feeding, walking, and potty schedule.

🧸 Give them something fun to do while the family is away—puzzle toys, treats, and enrichment can help keep those busy paws occupied!

🎒 Keep backpacks and school supplies off the floor. Pencils, glue, snacks, and other goodies can look VERY tempting to curious pets.

🍫 Check those lunchbox leftovers! Chocolate, grapes/raisins, and xylitol-containing products can be dangerous for pets.

🐾 And if your pet has been putting off their wellness visit, vaccines, or parasite prevention… now is a GREAT time to get them back on track!

🐾 Pet Toxicity Awareness: What Every Pet Owner Should Know! 🐾

Our curious four-legged family members love to explore the world with their noses and mouths—but some everyday items can be dangerous, even life-threatening.

🚫 Keep these common toxins out of reach:
🍫 Chocolate
🧅 Onions & Garlic
🍇 Grapes & Raisins
🌸 Lilies (especially dangerous for cats!)
💊 Human medications
🧼 Household cleaners
🌿 Certain plants
🦟 Insecticides & rodenticides
🍬 Xylitol (found in sugar-free gum, candy, and some peanut butters)

⚠️ Signs of poisoning may include:
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Excessive drooling
• Tremors or seizures
• Difficulty walking
• Lethargy or weakness
• Trouble breathing

If you think your pet has ingested something toxic, don't wait for symptoms to appear. Contact our clinic immediately for guidance. Quick action can make all the difference.

The heat advisory is here, and Mother Nature is basically telling everyone to stay inside, drink water, and pretend they’re a cat who has discovered the cold side of the pillow. 😹🔥

A few reminders from your favorite vet crew:
🐶 Keep those paws off hot pavement (if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet!)
💧 Make sure fresh water is always available
🌳 Save walks and playtime for the cooler parts of the day
🚗 NEVER leave pets in a hot car — not even “just for a minute”

Our furry friends may think they’re brave little explorers, but this heat is no joke! 🥵

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and remember… if your pet is spending the day looking for the air conditioner like it’s their new best friend, they’re not alone! 😂🐾

This week has been a little bittersweet for the CAH crew. 💙

On Friday, we celebrated one of our amazing veterinary assistants as she begins an incredible new adventure. This isn't goodbye—it's simply see you later! We are so proud of her for following her passion for animals as she heads to Honduras for two weeks to help care for furry friends in need. After her mission trip, she'll return to Oklahoma State University to continue working toward her dream of becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). We know she has an amazing future ahead, and we can't wait to cheer her on every step of the way!

This week also brought us a fun surprise visitor who made us smile and reminded us that every day in veterinary medicine is a new adventure.

To all of our wonderful clients—thank you for trusting us to love and care for your furry family members. It truly means the world to each and every one of us. Your support allows us to do what we love every single day.
