WDYM YOU HAVE A BINDER FULL OF TRAINING GOALS FOR YOUR DOG?!

10/15/2026

Martin Mutts’ Spokesdog, Blitz, visited a VBS this summer, and had a hefty dose of socialization. This is something I have been working on with him since he was adopted, and five years later you have a dog in a calm “down” while loud music plays and kids play and dance around. Blitz is not perfect. Blitz is not special. Socialization does not mean your dog loves everyone—Blitz is actually pretty uncomfortable with children, but Your Favorite Trainer put in work to desensitize him to many environments, and you can do the same! Let’s expose those pups to the world so they don’t grow up afraid of the world!

TRAINER’s TIP:
Your trainer gives you homework as a part of your training plan not because they think you have an excess of free time, but because there is only so much I can do to change a behavior an hour a week. We are a team!

PUPPIES

PUPPIES

Don’t be fooled; they’re ALL a little… off
They’re also so much fun to train!!
Some catch on a bit faster than others 🙃
But it’s definitely never a dull moment!

WHAT HAS YOUR FAVORITE TRAINER BEEN UP TO????

Well, ya’ll did it again; made it possible for me to SHOW UP—this time for my cousin’s wedding reception in Long Island!

She’s a GORGEOUS bride!!! I was literally breathless when I first saw her!

Your Favorite Trainer was feeling ✨cute✨ too!!!

Thanks to my outstanding clients who rescheduled around my travel time, and my tribe of helpful friends who looked after my beloved pack in my absence.

Here’s to the men that aren’t afraid to gentle parent (positively train) their dogs. Kudos to you! Not all are pictured btw 🧡

Yesterday was a BIG day for Martin Mutts!!

It was Mira’s first workday, and she helped me teach this sweet little pup some basics.

It also launched the official partnership of Martin Mutts & Meraki Animal Rescue & Outreach 🧡

Looking forward to working alongside them to help these amazing dogs find fitting, permanent homes.

There’s much more to come as we come to the end of 2026–I’m so excited to keep you all updated!!!

I always prioritize my family first.
This has to extend to my pups too because they are mine and I’ve committed myself to their care.
Tuesday I had to choose my human family over my FAPS commitment…
Today it’s my dogs who need me in the home; the weather and complex changes going on around them had everypup on edge and they needed me to lead and ground them.
We’re good here though! And after a weekend of resetting I’m excited to be back in place at Fayetteville Animal Protection Society next week🖖🏾
